i told some of my family
it sucks when people don't support you in something you feel is right for you. you just keep educating yourself about the surgeries and what happens so you will go into this with your eyes open and to hell with them. they will come around eventually. they are probably just scared. hang tough, lady. vick
EXPERIENCE WITHOUT REFLECTION IS HOLLOW

I feel your pain, I argued with my husband for 7 years prior to having this done. He still was not really supportive until I went for my endoscopy and he actually met my Dr. after thye talked he became more supportive. Since surgery he has loved the weight loss and the increased energy that I have. We have been married 31 years this July and he hasn't bought clothes for me since the 1st year until this past christmas. I think he actually enjoyed it. My surgery was last April 24 (9 months ago) and I have lost 113 lbs. Wish I had it done long ago. I have 25 more lbs before I hit my goal weight but I have confidence that I will get there. Each time I think about eating things that are high in fat/calories I think about how long it has been since I have been this close to my goal ( A VERY LONG TIME) and it helps with finding that deep down resistance that I need. I just bet up and go do something else to get my mind off of what I want to eat. Oh yea I did recently invest in a Wii and Wii fit and love it. Best of all it tracks and graphs your weight and BMI. Love it. Good Luck and stay strong I promis it will be worth it.
