well since i started this entire journey (preop diet started in nov of 09)  i have lost about 153 pounds or so. i am down to a size 6. my boobs are now inverted. lol, lol  no really, they are not inverted, but they do hang to my bellybutton with a little glob of fat by the nipples.  yuck.  goes along with the rest of the wrinkles on my body. i am under doctor's orders to gain 10-15 pounds.  that is easier said than done. i am losing about 1 pound a week.  oh well.  i had a tummy tuck and hernia removal in august of 09. in oct or nov i had to have my incision reopened on my right side (from the tummy tuck) and i was using a wound va****il  about christmas. this has definitely been a challenging year, but a satisfying one at the same time.  don't let all this scare any of you. i was just going over my year and wls.  i want to thank all of you  for your support. it is very important to me, both getting support and giving support.  i have made some good friends here and i hope to make more.  i sincerely mean it when i say let me know if i can help anyone. thanks once again. vick

Congratulations Vick! You sure have come a long way lady! I remember before your tummy tuck you were like 157 or 151 and hoping you'd get another 10 lbs off when the skin came off..now you are skinny minnie!
As far a regaining some weight, have you tried using the ensure plus in between meals? It is packed with calories (thats the plus) and designed to help put on a bit of meat, while providing good nutrition. I believe you can get it in store brand equivelants as well.
Wish i could donate about 10 pouns of what i have left to you. We'd both be right about where we need to be.
Keep up the great work, but definately stop losing!
Hugs and love!

Actually it is very tasty. The strawberry was my favorite whe I had to drink it. But they are all good, as they aim to add calories and with calories comes taste. I had to use it during my pregnancy with candice, as I did not gain enough weight, and back then I was thin. Had to use it one other time more recently (4 years ago I think). Also Paul had to ave it after his accident, and because I liked it so much, I'd  take a sip now and then. That of course was prior to my RNY. I know walmart has an equate brand of it too, but doesn't taste quite the same. Good luck with it. I think it will help you.

Happy Surgiversary Vickie! You are a very special person. Your journey has had lots of twists and turns and now we hope your 2nd year becomes a much straighter path to good health.
I think Patrece's idea for the ENSURE plus is great, please try it. Several years ago my MIL got sick and lost a lot of weight down to less than 90 lbs from about 130. Ensure not only kept her alive but put about 20 lbs back, helped her get her strength back and she went from almost dying to living several more years. I should have thought of that earlier! I'll be praying that this will help you!

Hey Vick, the offer of my extra weight still stands, I could donate more than 10# from each leg, I can think of several other spots to donate from.  the ensure idea sounds like a plan.  Letting you know that I am here for you, the first year has passed and the best is yet to come.

 Group hugs, Kathy
