smoking...exercise...stuff...

So.. i did not have a cigarette from the time I left here, and for the whole time at Kathy's. Back here at home was  / is very very hard with payl still smoking, even tho he does it in the garage. I have had a couple since i have been home. SHAMEEEEEE on me! But i am doing better than ever with quitting and am very proud of my efforts and success thus far. NOW tomorrow will be once again totally smoke free and no matter what, and no matter who upsets me, I will not touch another one. Can I do this...you betcha! Should have never touched the 2 I did since my return home.. but emotions, and convenience got the best of me.

Exercise...Well while at Kathy's we hit the gym each day I was there aside from my day of arrival and departure. I got home here Wednesday about 5 pm. Was whooped, so of course did not do a thing really. Thursday, I went for 2 seperate walks, each just over a mile and also went to curves. Today I went for one walk that was just at 2 miles, and have done quite a bit of house work. The pedometer says i got in over 4 miles today altogether. Walks have been a tool for me. My second walk yesterday was late evening, and it was pretty chilly out, but I wanted a smoke really bad. So instead of having one, I went for a walk. Now.. Just gotta keep this up!

Hows everyone else doing on thier goals, challenges, and adjustments?

Hang in there Vick...you will get there. just take it a small step at a time. you can do it. It is very hard to get back to doing it after a time away from it. Also, I believe you are still healing a bit right?

I forgive you, the urge was there, temptation surrounding you.  Today, Saturday, is a new day and you Patrece will succeed, I feel it in my bones.  You and I will smoke the same number of cigs today, and I DO NOT intend to start.  So it is up to you girlfriend.  You can and will do this for your health.

I had no, none, nada energy today, couch potato day with a trip to the washer from time to time.  That means that I got in at least 4 trips up and down the staircase.  Got in my 60 minutes on the treadmill in the late afternoon, yes Dennis joined me for half of the walk.  I challenged myself to do more incline, kept the speed above 3.0, maxed out at 3.7mph for about 20 minutes.

Dennis gave me a hug before I left for work, he is working day and afternoon shifts Saturday, day shift Sunday, I am on night shift.  Next time I see him will be Sunday afternoon.

Patrece, you can do this, I just know you can.   When you want on, turn on the wii.
  The walks help too.
The 5 day pouch test ended,   I lost 3 pounds in the 5 days.   It really help me feel my pouch and be aware of the foods i eat.  So it really helped me.
Take care.

Thank you Annie Lou! God idea, turning on the Wii. The walking helped for sure, but today is chilly and very windy, so no walk today i don't think. Not unless the wind dies down a bit. The wii however will work!

Glad the pouch test went well for you. Thats great! 3 lbs in 5 days! I think the biggest benefit of the pouch test is that you get back in touch with your pouch. I am actually considering a 2 day liquid diet, just to get my loss going again and to get back in touch with my pouch. Did you do the free version of the pouch test or did you buy the book?
Keep up the great work! thanks for the encouragement!

Patrece I know what you going through for I'm a x smoker as of a little over a month. I'm taking chantix but still think of it every day of course i also have had a few slips and you feel like kicking your self but all you can do is try again and take one day at a time. I chew gum like its my full time job smaking it, blowing bubbles and some times just sucking on it cuz my jaw gets sore...
I also chew  on carrots and have a sucker every once in awhile. I've been exercising too and also taking more time on pampering myself like a bath, lotioning from head to toe, anything to make the evening go by faster,,,
I wish you luck in your future as a non smoker.
