 Hi folks,

I'm taking a few minutes to pop in and say hello (while waiting for the cable guy to show up!).  I have been MIA for about a month.  Bad girl, slap my hand.  In the past month:

12/21 - we had one of our family dogs put down
12/27 - our daughter got engaged
12/31 - we found the most beautiful dress! and put it on layaway
1/3 - we found out the dress may not work - I'm gonna be a grandma!
1/10 - I became an Avon lady!

So forgive me for not being around!  Life is good - and exciting, and demanding.

Oh - did I mention I got my date?

2/9 will be my re-birthday!

So in 2010 I take BACK control of my health, my son graduates, I become a grandma.  As it stands now I may also become a mother-in-law around Christmas.  So lots of parties and showers to plan - all with a new tummy!  AND I'm starting my own business.  (I must be INSANE...)

Kathy - I see you hit the century mark!  I am so so very happy for you!!

I hope everyone is doing well.  With my medical leave looming I hope to check in here a bit more.

Have a great day everyone!

Darlene, congrats on the date.  Only wls folks can get excited about becoming losers.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Your life has been very busy since your last post.  Don't be such a stranger, come back from time to time to share.  Keep your life as sane as possible.

I am a little low for the moment.  I had to drop Patrece off at the airport for her return flight home.  We had a blast, miss her already.

Awwww, I had no idea you had managed another visit.  I'm glad you had so much fun!  And while you miss her already, thanks to technology it's so much easier to keep in contact - and be there for one another! - than it was 10, 15 years ago.

I'm going to try to be more involved.  You know, you spend so much time with the pre-op diet, and all of the WAITING.... come here and read about this success and that issue, and it starts to seem disconnected.  As a pre-opper so much you feel like you're on the outside looking in.  I tried so hard to be supportive of others, but it's not always easy to be supportive when you can't relate (yet) to what the other person is dealing with - or celebrating!

I was getting bored and impatient, and that coupled with all of the craziness in my life right now drew me away from here.  However, knowing now that it's almost showtime I really need to buckle down and make sure I'm focused, motivated, and that I use all of the tools available to me on this site so I can get through the surgery with as much knowledge as possible - that will keep the panic attacks down!  Does this sound selfish???  Yep, I suppose it does....

Have a great evening.  Relax and wait for Patrece's call letting you know she got home safe and sound.  Take care!

WOW... busy for sure lady! Most of it good! I want to tell you i am very sorry for the loss of your dog. I have been through this, and it is very hard. especially if you, like me, consider them anoth kid and a part of the family. I have to admit that after we had to put down a awesome fur baby almost 2 years ago, I am just not as into dogs anymore. Too heartbreaking. I love dogs, but hate the heartbreak of losing them. My heart is so very with you.

Congrats on the grandbaby to be. I have a new one on the way as well. Candice is due July 16th and I can't wait to hold that little one oin my arms.

Wishing you luck with your new business and all else going on in your life! Congrats on getting your date! You will be having your wls the day after I have my plastic surgery! I too am getting excited! Not looking forward to the pain, but definately looking forward to the reults. Early on after PS there is much swelling to contend with for 6 weeks to 6 months, just depending upon the individual. BUT I am willing to deal with that for the end results. Do I plan to wear a bikini??? HECKKKKKKKKKKK NOOOOO!!! but to get rid of this gobbler, the excess skin on my belly and reclaim my boobs, is a wonderful feeling! lol.

You are gonna be so happy when you are a loser! Who says being a loser is bad? NOT for us!
Congrats! And so great to hear from you!
