Great Day Yesterday!

well i guess not that great, i'm still shopping around for a new washer and dryer, looking at the front loader types...

Anywhooooo, yesterday mom and i went shopping, i pretty much restocked with all the "right types of foods"

I brought snacks for my dtr but i got her stuff that i do not like that she likes, it works out.  I found proten bars we got 4 different types, and i am taking some to my office along with soup and crystal light so i have it there.  It's too tempting to order food at work, if you don't have food with you.

Also -and here's the big one, i went to lunch with mom at red lobster.  I don't know if my tummy is getting smaller due to me eating less and changing my habits ( i've not had my surgery yet) but i ate my salad and 2 biscuts ( yes i know ) and omg, i was full.  My mom was startled, said she's never seen me get full like before and not be able to eat.  When the guy came and asked if we needed more bread, i said no..-never has this happened.  So my little steps are getting much larger but i still have many areas where i need to improve.

Congrats on finding satisfaction with smaller amounts.  I have faith that you will succeed.  Great to have appropriate foods available for you while at work,  vending machines are not the best source.  Good luck on finding the washer set that suits you.

Shawn,

I practiced allow 30 minutes before and after meals for drinking. That may be a shock to you to get used to, but eventually you get used to it and you won't be hungry that much at all in the beginning.

Best of luck to you...
Regards,

I too practiced avoiding fluids before and after meals, I found out that I washed a lot of my foods down with fluids.  Not drinking with the meal is much easier now.

sounds like u are on the right path. i too, still have a hard time with the not drinking after eating.  i sometimes take a tiny sip and set a timer for 30 minutes. if it is real heavy food i have to wait 45  minutes.  keep on keeping on.  you can do it. vick
