Good morning everyone.  Top of the day, got up and at em this morning, now running into a little slump of energy.  Patrece and I have been working on craft/quilt projects on and off since her arrival on Friday.  Getting somewhere.  Photos sometime.  The time just slips on by.  Started the day out with a butterscotch protein shake, need to tweak the recipe a little, looks like the fruit flavors appeal to me more at this time.

Are you getting in your protein today, exercise too???  Sending well wishes out to everyone having surgery today.  Great day to start getting healthier.

Put the second load of laundry into the dry just a bit ago.  Exercise is soon on the agenda.  Dennis agreed to go with us today.  What do you have planned?  What did you get accomplished yesterday, last weekend?

Have a great one, Kathy

I tried the Body Fortress shakes from Walmart, and I can tolerate them. One in the morning, and one at night meets my 60g of protein requirement, so anything else inbetween is a bonus. I have also started doing a few of the aerobic excersizes on the Wiifit. Not too intense just yet, and can't do it for long but at least I am moving!

Yayyyy for you Crystal.  Sounds like you are on the right track.  Are you feeling well?  Good to be moving about.  Congrats on making the decision to improve your health.

I use the body fortress too.  Try this, 1 cup skim milk in the blender, 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder, 1 tsp sugar free pudding powder, 1 tsp crystal light, 1 cup ice cubes.  Blend till ice cubes smooth.  Right now lemon crystal light with either lemon or vanilla pudding is right on top of my fav list.  This gets to the consistency of a malt and tastes great.  Perks up my taste buds.  Also tried the chocolate protein with  choc pudding mix, no crystal light, takes care of my choc cravings.  Couple of days ago mixed vanilla protein, vanilla pudding powder, raspberry crystal light, 1/2 c. frozen raspberries and 1/2 **** cubed.  So many options, so many choices.

Today I tried butterscotch pudding in the shake mix, not on my fav list.  Fruit flavors seem to appeal more.

Crystal, looks like you are doing great!  I like the Body Fortress from Walmart too. Hope I continue to like it after surgery, I know tastes often change for some people then. Chocolate is my favorite and I mix it light vanilla soy milk and water, half and half. My Walmart carries a fruit puch flavor of BF too that I have never tried. Might be a good change if you get tired of the van, choc. flavors. Keep up the good work! I hear the Wii fit is so much fun. Hope to join you on the loser's bench soon.

Hi everybody. I'm off work today and trying to catch up on everything. Been MIA becasue DD was in the hospital last week and then on Thursday I got really sick and had to leave work. Don't know if it was gall bladder, food poisoning, or stomach bug, but it was awful. I was terrified it was gall bladder and would mess up my surgery if i had to have it removed now. Anyway, DD is home, I'm feeling better, brought home a pile of paperwork to try to catch up over  the 3 day weekend and doing well with that. I have a support group meeting tonight so once again won't make it to chat. One of these days I hope to get there. Take care everyone, welcome to all you newbies, prayers for all the upcoming surgeries and for continued success of you other "losers".

Hugs,
Rhonda
