I woke up this morning with a strange feeling!
HUNGER! Finally I actually feel like making the effort to eat my three small meals, and drink in between. I made sure to check for mental hunger vs actual hunger. I am craving foods I can't have for a few more weeks, but the good thing is I am thinking of healthy foods. Acceptable foods for me to have. Not McDonald's and KFC, but healthy protein rich foods. I would kill someone for a meatball and whole wheat pasta
I have been eating cream of chicken. I would love to try cream of tomato, but doctor said can be a little rough due to the acid. I am almost willing to risk that, but I know I need to listen to my surgeon and nut. It's hard though when I am actually wanting food for the first time in about a week.
I am so grateful for you all to help me through this crazy time.

you sound like you have a good head on your shoulders. do what your doc and nut says. hunger is a normal thing and it is something that is bound to happen. just keep in mind the options you have open to you. can you have refried beans yet? a little water in those babies and they smooth out. later, maybe you could have some mild picante in it. that would satisfy some hunger. this is if you are on pureed yet. are you? good luck to you. vick

Hey there! You are healing! Yeayyyyyy!!! Good for you in keeping your choices within the acceptable zone. That will be important to you throughout the rest of your journey..which is the rest of your life.
A side noe on the tomato soup... The worst thing about this, is the very high carb content it has. Unfortunately most of the carbs do not come from the tomato, but from the added sweetener (sugar in one form or another) they add to it. I have had tomato soup once since my wls. I love it, but I really try to ask myself before consuming anything.. "Is this pouch worthy?" We will never make all the perfect decisions...God knows this! We can just do our very best.
Good to hear you are feeling better and starting to take an interest in getting in your food.. YEAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
Nice to not "Need" fast foods. The things we make at home are sooooo much better for us, plus the portion we can consume does not make economical sense, always $$ in the background. I would rather spend the dollars on quality protein. The food comercials don't affect me much either.
