 Hey Y'all,
My name is Randee Sue but y'all can call me Rue.  I am 26 and have Spina Bifida.  Just in the last 2 years I started massively gaining weight.  All my doctors kept telling me "It is the nature of the beast" and "That I have to get used to the fact that I will be totally wheelchair bound in a year or so".  What I say "Is why the heck does it have to be that way?"  So that is why I had Gastric Bypass surgery December 1st.  I REFUSE to give in to this disability.  I am too young to NOT FIGHT this disability.  I am doing well so far.  I am a devout Christian.  I am a mother to 2 precious 4 legged boys.  I am a daughter to 3 wonderful parents,1 in Heaven and 2 here on earth.  I have 4 sisters and 1 brother and 8 beautiful nieces and nephews.  I love life and I love people.  I am a prayer warrior so if y'all need prayer please feel free to come to me.

In HIS Love,
Randee Sue aka Rue

Thanks for the welcome Vickie.  I will try to remember about the chat thing.  Right now all I can ask for is prayer as I am still getting used to everything.  Just one question...what's the loser's bench?  I have seen that mentioned in other groups as well.

Hi Rue! I love the name Randee! How beautiful! Welcome to our group.
The losers bench is just a metaphorical thing. It is a way of saying "welcome to life after weight loss surgery, we are here for and with you"
i will keep you in my prayers for sure. If you have any questions, concerns, or thoughts you want to share, please do so! I look forward to getting to know you and traveling this journey with you.

Please keep me in your prayers on 2/7/10 for a safe flight that day, and the following day safe and uneventful plastic surgery. thanks so much!

I love the name Randee Sue too but someone in my family nicknamed me Sandee Rue when I was real young.  So Rue just stuck.  Oh ok that makes sense.

Thank you for your love and prayers.  You are a doll Patrece.

Anything for a sister in Christ.

You don't have a ticker up, I am just wondering how the weight loss has been going for you so far?
