Hello!

I had a fairly busy day today.  I went to my OA meeting this morning.  I really needed to be there and it was a good meeting.  I asked one of the ladies to sponsor me and she gave me her phone number.  It appears to me that she works a really good program and I'm excited to learn from her.

I signed up for two more sewing classes today.  One is a 1 class session, learning how to make an insulated lunch tote and the other is a 4 session quilting class where we will learn to make a quilt and they will see us through start to finish.  I have been on a medical leave from work for almost a year now and it doesn't look like I'll be going back.  I'm in the process of applying for SSDI but probably won't get it, at least not right away.  I'm hoping that I can get good enough with the crafting to make some money at it. I'm very grateful that my husband has a very good, very secure job and my personal bills are all paid.

I will be seeing the surgeon on Tuesday and discussing with him any restrictions I may have in regards to exercise.  They won't give me a full work out routine at the gym due to the surgery.  I'm hoping that now, at 3 months out, they will add more exercises.

I had a pretty good day as far as food, but didn't get in my protein.  I'll try to drink a shake tonight before I go to bed.

Have a great night!

Colleen,
I would think that if there are no other health problems present, that you should be able to do anything you want to do workout wise. It is 3 months, you are likely fully healed. I am sure they are just afraid of getting sued if something were to happen to you as a result of thier recommendations. I agree will be good to have the doc write a note stating that you are free to do any activities you wish to / or can tolorate.

Good for you going to the gym! Keep up your good work colleen! So proud of you!

Good for you Colleen, enjoy the classes.  Good to get a MD note for increased exercise.  Also good to have great insurance through your husband.  Try, try to get in the protein, liquids and supplements.

Great to have an OA sponsor.  Keep in touch with this person.  Thanks for the updates.  Means so much to all of us.  Hugs, Kathy
