vitamins

hi everyone!  Just had some questions about vitamins.... can anyone recommend a good chewable calcium citrate +D?  Also when do you take your calcium and multi- they have to be a seperate times right?  And the only sublingual B12 I could find was 2500mcg- is this too much daily?    also about protein powder- which ones would you recommend for after surgery, I got the carnation instant breakfast for my 8 day pre-op diet, but they said my taste might change after surgery, it would be ideal if I could get some samples to use afterwards I guess.

Oh and I talked with my surgeon yesterday about all my concerns and she made me feel more comfortable about the surgery.  I also explained to family members my health problems and the reasons for me having this surgery so now they are much more supportive, as in the beginning they thought I was just doing this to get thin.
thanks!
Liz

i use building blocks vitamins.  i take my multi and calcium together and space the calcium 2 hours apart from the iron i also take.  about eh b12 i don't know.  as far as protein, be sure and get a medical grade whey isolate. i use syntrax nectar others use unjury.  you can go to a1supplements.com  they have a good selection of different types at reasonable prices. glad u feel better after speaking with your doc.  that always helps. let me know if i can help you.  vick

So glad that your support is improved.  Makes all the difference in the long run.  I like the taste of soloray brand calcium citrate, citrus flavored.  I find it in the local health food store or order online.

I have to "ditto" what Vickie posted.  I also use Building Blocks and Syntrax Nectar.  I see the surgeon for my 3 month follow-up on Tuesday and I'm pretty sure they will be releasing me to take regular tablets instead of chewable.

My tastes changed completely after surgery and I ended up with a bunch of protein powder I couldn't use.  Many websites offer samples that you can try.  I use bestpricenutrition.com.

Good luck!
