Hello everybody!
I am doing much better today. The pound I gained during the holidays was gone from the scale this morning and that really gave me an emotional boost for the day.
I realized today that although I am eating mostly protein, I am constantly hungry. I made an really easy recipe that someone mentioned on another website I belong to and noticed that after I had a portion, I wasn't hungry again an hour later. I have been trying to eat a small meal or snack every couple of hours but apparently is hasn't been the right kind of things. A scrambled egg is nowhere near as filling as refried beans.
I took one can of chunk chicken breast, a packet of taco seasoning and half a can of fat-free refried beans, mixed together and heated it up. It was pretty darn tasty, and you could add cheese, onion, olives etc. I didn't drain the chicken because the beans are a little too dense for my taste but I think the next time I will use the entire can. I put some on a small flour tortilla, but it would have been good to just eat with a fork.
Beyond that, my food was pretty "clean" for the day. No snacking and I limited my carb intake. I had my morning and afternoon supplements and a protein shake. I still have one more set of vitamins to take and a shake for the day. I did get my fluids in today as well.
I hope you all have a great evening. We are getting hit with our first snow storm of the year. If it was a little warmer out there I'd go and make a snow angel!

Ahhh You remembered to check in today! Yeayyyyyyyyy!!! Good job today getting in the good for you foods. Your recipe does sound pretty tasty! I'll have to give it a try.
I made a 4 bean chili last night for dinner. It was very tasty and very high in protein, but let me tell you this.. I have never had such painful gas in my life! Well maybe.. but this was badd.. decided not to have any more of it even tho is was good. Just too painful..lol.
So glad you are back down that lb and feeling better today.
