Commit to get fit... (thats what I am up to now!)

I am going to be getting ambitious here. This evening my daughter and I decided we are going to get more fit together.

I comitted to Mon Wed Fri at the YMCA for 2 hours each day. One hour of water aerobics, then one hour of water walking. THEN Tues, thurs and sat is curves. Hoping to also find a yoga class at the YMCA that will fit in somewhere to take  and am hoping for it to fall on the curves days.

Hopefully this will all work to help get me more fit before my feb 8th surgery. Bet it'll help me break my plateau too! After my surgery Feb 8th, I'll be back to walking and very low impact activities for a while. Once my wounds heal, I'll be back at the water aerobics and water walking.

Wish me luck guys and gals!

It sure sounds like you have a good plan there Patrece and I'm sure you will break your plateau in no time with all of that exercise.   You will definitely be at goal in no time I would say.   I too have committed to continue going to curves 4-5 times weekly for my 90 minute workout.   It is not far up the street from where I live so I really have no excuse and like Kathy it actually seems the more I exercise the more my body is craving at least for now which I think is a good thing.   I am anxious for the weather to break or at least some nice days to come back so it would be good for walking.  Really missing that.   I have thought about going to the YMCA myself however it is a twenty mile drive one way from my house so we will just have to do that on occassion when going into town for other reasons also.   The water arobics are great I really enjoyed them when I went years ago.   Very low impact on these old bones don't ya know.    lol.   Oh and the sauna and hot tub are fabulous too.    I'm sure you will do fine with your surgery and more than likely will be at your goal weight here very shortly.   Will definitely be praying for your success your many endevors that you have going on now...... Hugs Anna

Thanks Anna! Hugs back at ya! You and Kathy put me to shame in the exercise department, but all that is about to change.. for a while. Not sure how long it will be until I can hit the pool again. I imagine I'll be able to do that before curves or any weight training, etc., since water aerobics is low impact. Just have to have all my wounds healed up before the pool is an option, then I can control how much effort I put into the water aerobics, depending on how tender i am. we shall see!
Keep up your excellent work! you are doing awesome!

You ARE ambitious! That kind of working out will have to bust thru your plateau. You'll be in great shape for your surgery. I hope the non-smoking is getting a little easier. If I remember correctly, the first 3 days were always the hardest. You go, girl, and we'll be cheering for you!!!

Hugs,
Rhonda
