Hello Buddies!

I hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas!  Ours certainly was, but we sure could have done without getting more snow and tons of ice!  My hubby was called out to plow on Christmas Day and put in about 10 hours, then he put in another 16 hours between Saturday and Sunday.  We do enjoy the extra money, but I'm pretty sure none of us - or most of the folks here in Iowa - would be disappointed if we didn't get any more snow this winter.

The kids are home on winter break, but hubby and I are working.  We are both feeling pretty run down today.  I have a terrible headache and just want to close my eyes!  We need to make this a quiet and relaxing evening for sure.  I am thankful that we are only working three days this week!

Do any of you have plans for New Years' Eve?  We are going to a "Bowling Bash" at our local bowling alley.  We have friends and family joining us.  We will be bowling from 10PM to 1:30AM, which is a bit too much bowling for me!  LOL!  But, it should be fun.  There will be a champagne toast at midnight.  A couple of people have asked if I will be able to partake in the toast and I have told them that I don't think so.  Have any of you had an alcoholic beverage since your RNY surgery?  If so, how did your body react to it?  The last thing I want to do is "experiment" and end up sick!

Well, I suppose I had better do some important work!  I hope you are all doing well and look forward to hearing from you soon!  Take care!
