Lucy, CONGRATULATIONS! 50 lbs is awesome, and that is a lot to lose since September. I bet you feel so much better already! Although I decided the band was not the choice for me, it is great for some people and there are lots of people who have lost a lot of weight with them. My doctor's patient care specialist had her band surgery about 2 years ago and has lost and kept off over 100 lbs. It doesn't matter which surgery you use to get where you need to be, just that you get there! And you are well on your way!

Rhonda

YEAYYY Lucy! You are doing great! Have to share some info that I just learned about the band yesterday. (I am taking some online training to further enable me to assist those I support) AND the particular course i was listening to last evening said that with the badn, a loss of 1 to 2 lbs a week is a very successful loss rate. It also said that band  patients have to be very disciplined to achieve success the first few years, more so than any other procedure. So gal.. you are doing something very right!
Congrats!
