Wow, here it is the day after Christmas, yes, Saturday too.  I had a lovely day with family yesterday.  How did everyone else do for the day?  I tried a piece of homemade blueberry pie, from locally picked wild blueberries.  The pie tasted good, too sweet, stopped after a couple bites and felt satisfied.  There was a table full of munchies, stayed away from it before the meal, too full after eating to dream of more.  I met many relatives for the first time.  Enjoyed visiting with everyone.  I was tired when we got home.  So tired that I went to bed by 8:30, up briefly at midnight and then slept till 6 am.

I walked on the treadmill for 50 minutes this am, considering what else to get done today.  My mental list is short, not really feeling like accomplishing anything.  It is snowing, total of 3-4 inches yesterday.  Perfect snow for snowballs or a snowman.

Enjoy the time with your children today.  Rest up from the activities.  Have a great day today.  Hugs, Kathy

Hi Kathy. Sounds like you had a nice Christmas. I hope everyone else did too. Sorry for those dealing with the bad snow storms, or other problems this Christmas. I was wiped out yesterday after preparing for all my family to come here and celebrate on Christmas Eve. Yesterday I vegged out most of the day and watched movies with my sister. That was nice. I was too tired to over eat even so that was a  plus!  Today I had to get up and get out of the house. Went shopping for a little while, came home and started cleaning,  and now here trying to catch up with everyone. Hope every body is haveing a nice day and getting some relaxation in now that the busiest time has passed.

Hugs,
Rhonda

I agree with Rhonda and Vick, tired today.  Spent the day relaxing and cleaned a drawer in the kitchen.  Other than going to the gym today (early) I have been indoors.  Let Gretta out (well both dogs) to check the snow depth on their legs.  Snow depth now up to her abdomen, so about 5-6 inches over the last 2 days.  The snow didn't stop the dogs from racing up and down the sidewalk a couple of times and burning off some energy.  Next stop, pillow time to get ready for night shift tonight.

I studied the snow through the window for a while this afternoon, huge fluffy flakes, reminded me of a gentle snow globe.  Now tiny flakes, hard to see them unless you really look hard.  Dennis is headed out to clear the walk so I don't have to trudge through as much for heading to work later on.  Love having someone to take on the shoveling task for me.  Stay warm and dry everyone.  Hugs, Kathy

Hey all.. I am really late checking in. But here I am finally. I too am just wiped out today! I took 2 naps and still feel like a rag someone just wrung out. Not sure whats up there, but hope it passes soon.
We had a noice christmas. Kids and grandkids over and had dinner, opened gifts etc. LOVE watching those kids ripping into the gift wrap, with such excitement. Even Connor who is only 14 months (almost 15 months) had it down pat.
Santa was very good to me. I must have been a pretty good girl this past year.

Hoping everyone enjoys the remainer of the holiday season here, and has a powerful and successful new year!

Hugs!

Hello Kathy!! I wish we would get some snow, my kids are dying to build a snowman. We are suppose to get a snow storm New Year's Eve which kind of stinks because we are suppose to go to my husbands cousin's house. Chrsitmas was great. The kids had a blast. We got them their first power wheels. Check out their first ride http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWRSZ7cEuuU Today I decided to risk leaving my house to go grocery shopping on the busiest shopping day of the year. It really wasnt too bad though. So now I am relaxing with the husband and tomorrow, before he goes back to Jersey for work, we are taking the kids to see Alvin and the Chipmunks!! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!!

Glad you all had a good Christmas. We had a wonderful Christmas as well. Sorry I didn't make it on to post yesterday. Several days of shopping, errands, cooking in preparation and then visiting and celebrating with four families in two days can wipe a girl out. Even one that's in much better health than she's been in years.

We were with my mother and aunt the first half of Christmas Eve, the evening with the Germans (DH's side of the family). Christmas day we spent with my father and step mother et al at my step sister's home. We had lots of fun there playing with my niece and nephew. They got Rock Band for the Wii and they had us all singing while DH and my nephew were running up and down stairs shooting us with Nerf guns. Then Christmas evening we went to visit a close friend and my godchildren. We both fell asleep on her watching a movie because we were so wiped out. I'm sure the small glass of wine didn't help, even though I diluted it.

Funds were a bit tight this year so I decided to make our family recipe fudge for gifts. Aparently sugar does not cause me to dump easily. I was a bad girl and had a few pieces over the two nights that I was making it. It caught up with me eventually though. Ethel was not amused. I wasn't hard on myself over the holiday though. Gained a few pounds. Back on the regular schedule now. Protein shake for breakfast. My mother-in-law is in town and wants us to come over for leftover goose and german cabbage for lunch. (We missed her meal because we were visiting with other families when she made it on Christmas day.) I'll probably have some cottage cheese for dinner. Maybe some almonds for a snack. Going to concentrate on sticking to the rules today.
