Hello,
I'm Lisa. I'm 42 years old and a single mom of 3 amazing kiddos. I had my surgery on September 1st 2009. I started my journey at 307, I weighed 274 the day of surgery, and today I'm down to 220.5. It hasn't been easy but it has been very rewarding. I love my RNY. ...

I also wanted to wish you all a Happy Holiday season....xoxo

Hi Lisa, my surgery was the day after yours.  Nice to meet you.  Let's lose weight together.  Keep up the good work with the losing.  Taking things one day at a time on this side.  I am 47 years old.  My children have 4 feet and fur.  Like having perpetual toddlers, they take the toys out and don't put them away again.

Hey There Lisa! Welcome to our group! great job on the weight loss! keep up the good work! no it isn't easy.. but it is sooo worth it! I started at 270 and a tight 24 pant. Am now at 161 (and holding doggone it..on a plateau) and a size 10 pant. I am 1 year 5 months out.

In Febuary i will be getting my tummy tuck and having my boobs put back..lmao. i am hoping that whatever I don't get off before that will come off in excess skin. Just 7 lbs to hit a normal BMI 11 to get to my personal goal of 150. The way the scale is sitting still on me now, I may have just hit a point that my body has decided it is happy right where it is. My surgeon told me to stop losing. he thinks I am thin enough. Many friends and family tell me the same. I hope I see it that way after my tummy tuck. I think it is actually the skin that gives me the illusion I am still fat. I told my surgeon I wanted to at least get down that last 7 lbs so I am at a normal BMI. He agreed, but said I am to stop trying to lose then..lol

I look forward to sharing in your journey.
Have a wonderful holiday season!
Patrece

Thank you everyone. Yes, I do feel better...When I started my journey, I was on meds for diabetes, high blood pressure, and acid reflux. I also had severe obstructive sleep apnea. And now..not even 4 months later I'm off of everything! I feel fabulous! I have also went from a size 24/26 jeans to an 18/20. My shirts were a size 4X, and now I'm wearing a 1X and sometimes an XL. It has been an amazing ride....

Another thing....I have turned two of my 4X night gowns into pillow cases. They were flannel...lol I'm such a pack rat and I hardly throw anything out...lol
