Thursday, here again already.
Wow, another week nearly gone. Tootles to the first half of the week. One more shift then a weekend off. I got greeted by Oscar and Gretta this morning, they could hardly wait to run out the door and attend to their business in the snowbank. All 3 inches of the snow bank. Pretty soon Oscar will not be able to pee over the top of it. Just a few more inches of snow and they will have a snow lined path to the stump. Then they are like watching a mouse in a maze, staying in the paths (for the most part). Last year, when I was traveling, I stopped at a wayside rest to let them out for a few minutes. There was a large snow ball made by a snow plow. About 2 feet in diameter. A larger dog had marked this snowball. Now Oscar weighs 12 pounds, he lifted his leg to try and mark over the other yellow stain in the snow, fell way short of his target, sniffed the other dogs mark, lifted his leg even higher and tried again, this went on for several attempts, he never was able to get his stream up to the target, but he did really try.
There is a nice gentle snow happening. Reminds me of the flakes inside a snow globe. No wind, just gently floating down to earth. I must be getting a little used to the colder weather, it seems so much milder this morning. The neighbor kids were just getting on the bus as I walked up the sidewalk.
I spent yesterday am working on some craft projects in the basement. The time can just fly when I am engrossed in something fun. Felt good to be sitting by the sewing machine stitching pieces together, pressing the seams and watching the creation develop before my eyes. I thought of stopping a few times to do some housework. The housework waited until I came to a neat breaking point in the project. I can leave the mess, walk upstairs and do what I need, then return to the basement and start into the project again. I turned on prerecorded shows that I wanted to see. Able to fast forward through the commercials. Able to delete several things from the DVR as I watched (or rather listened) to the shows.
I made it to the gym for 60 minutes on the treadmill again yesterday. I do feel better when I've had some physical activity. Getting more than 10,000 steps in daily on my pedometer. I finally broke down and tracked down my winter boots. The sneakers were just not warm enough when outdoors. The gym was busy just before supper time yesterday. I usually arrive there during non peak hours. Worked out fine, still had a couple of treadmills available when I walked into the door.
Keep warm everyone. Guess I've babbled enough for the moment. Take care, Kathy

I know what you mean about the week - it has really flown by! We've been busy busy with social activities all week and I'm looking forward to a quiet Friday night so I can crash early. Saturday will be our weekly coffee with the WLS'ers, grocery shopping, last minute X-mas shopping. I am planning on baking Sunday and doing cards. Yikes! Weekend is full! Oh, well tis the season.

Hey Kathy.. You mean to tell me you didn't help ole oscar out and lift him up to accomplish his goal?? LOL. What are you working on a quilt? I am looking forward to getting in some crafting time, hopefully after christmas. For now still need to focus on finishing getting this place put together and in order, at least more so than it is. Need to have things set before I go beebopping around and others are here caring for hubby.
I just spent most of yesterday and today enjoying my little weeble girl. (Cheyenne). Always a pleasure, but always exhausting too. I could really use a nap, but then won't sleep tonight, so pushing forward until a reasonable bedtime.
Hope you and everyone had a great day!
