I am only looking for your opinion on your tracker & tracking habits.

Ok, that's outta the way.

Questions:

1.  Do you track your daily food intake?  (If your answer is no then you're done.  Thank you for your time.)

2.  If yes, do you track on paper or online?  (If your answer is paper then you're done.  Thank you for your time.)

3.  If you track online, where do you track and why?

4.  If you do NOT track at this website, what's wrong with it?

I only ask because I see many people who claim they use sparkpeople, fitday, dailyplate, etc.  I started tracking here a few months ago and have entered many "custom" foods.  If I were to change it would be a hassle, but is OH's health tracker lacking, somehow?

Hi Darlene (((Hugs))),

When I do track, I use the myhealth tracker here on OH, this is a fairly new feature and I love it.  I do believe that others may have gotten started using the other sites for many reasons.  I think that is is soooo handy to have all my tracking right here in one place, somewhere I come to everyday.  i use the site to track my measurements too.  Nice to see the graph showing the progress.

Initially, I was faithful and tracked everything.  Life is busy and I do not track as often at this time.  It is a great place to start when things seem to slow down and I am trying to figure out the next best step for me.  I agree, it would be a hastle to change.  I tried a couple of the other sites when I was pre-op.  They seemed time consuming.  Paper was better at one point.  Then I look at my desk and ughhhhhh, I do not need another loose piece of paper anywhere.

most of the people you see mentioning elsewhere, it is most likely because the food / intake tracking here is a pretty new feature, and wasn't available to them here. Some of the other programs are a little easier to use. But the program here is good.

Ok, so maybe that explains it then.  I didn't realize it was a new feature.  I love the pie chart, I just wish the vitamin / mineral section of the nutrition info gave percentages like the nutrition charts on the actual food products do.

One other thing they need is a recipe builder!  I wanted the nut. info on the ricotta fluff, and ended up googling "recipe builder" so I could get the info I needed.  (Ironically the recipe builder I found on Google was the one from sparkpeople.com!)

Anyway, thanks a bunch for the feedback!

That's one thing I really like better about SparkPeople. You can put in the vitamins / minerals as percentages. No trying to convert percentages to grams, etc.
