Hello! =)
Wow... I have been away a long time, or so it seems! Been getting things done though. Have had some family issues too, it appears that my daughter has a fairly serious health issue, and since she finished school last month she no longer has insurance. She needs to have some treatments done though, so it's going to be interesting. We're working on finding her private insurance, please keep your fingers crossed for us!
I have been lurking a bit, but in all honesty between my crazy work hours and the issue with my daughter, I pretty much want to just relax when I get home. Please don't take it personally!
On some positive notes, I tried Curves tonight! I'm a bit sore, in a tired-sore way, so i think it went pretty well! Have any of you belonged to Curves? Do (did) you like it or do (did) you get bored with it? It's super-close to home, I could walk when it's not wind chills below 0 and winds gusting to 50 mph! But what are your thoughts?
I also tried a ricotta fluff recipe in the "recipes" discussion above. STILL not sure if I like it; maybe it will taste heavenly post-op! I thought I saw some other ricotta and / or "fluff" recipes. Always looking for ideas, and I need EASY things to make because I'm just not that big on cooking, so any pointers will be appreciated!
That is all for now. I know we have some recent surgeries, I hope you're all recovering well! Hoping to make it to Monday chat, with the work schedule the way it is right now there are no guarantees.
Have fun everyone, and stay warm!!

Hey Darlene.. Nice to see you back. I am very sorry to hear your daughter is having some serious health issues.. I won't pry..but know I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.
I went to curves about 3 times. Keep swearing I am going to get back there 3 times a week, but I always seem to have something going on. I don't think I have gone often enough to be able to honestly say how it is. Sorry..But let me know what you think. I really do have to start making time to get there, and work on toning up as much as I can before my PS. But I have been so tired and drained lately, its all I can do to do what has to be done. AND really do not want to go out in this cold weather either, any more than I have to. EXCUSES EXCUSES.. I Need to just do it!
I hope everything works out okay with your daughters health issues. I hope you manage to keep your sanity through it all. I am here if you need to talk. You can always PM me as well.
Keep your chin up and do whatever you need to to take care of you!
Hugs
Patrece

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
Glad you popped is for a "hello" Darlene. Hope things work out well for your daughter.
I agree with the staying warm idea. So snuggly when I am in bed sleeping. Windchill out there is not good. Getting ready for the Christams holiday season here.

Hi Darlene, Just thought I would say I do belong to curves. I actually joined about a month and a half before I had my lap band surgery last May4th. I was only able to go a couple of times but after my normal post op recovery time and was released by the doctor I started going 3 three times a week faithfully for the 30 minutes and have worked myself up to 90 minute workouts 3-5 times a week. I have found it has been very help ful to me and actually look forward to going for the most part. I also do quite a bit of walking weather permitting of course. I hope your daughter gets well soon and her treatments go well, will be praying for her and for you. Take care and hugs. Anna
