Hi Everyone...

I'm new to the group and new to the site... I'm very excited about my future and weight lose. My journey has been very fast and I'm anticipating surgery the end of January. I'm scared and relieved all at the same time. My avatar pic is what I looked like 10 years ago and where I'd love to be again. My true pics are on my page. This is where bad choices have gotten me. I'm tired of being in this fat body, I'm sick all the time, and I'm tired. I really need some friends that have been through this before and can help me along the way.

Hi Sherry, what can I do to help you along this path?  I know of bad choices, been there myself.  I am already 3 months out from my RNY and still learning the tricks of the 'tool'.    Ask any and all questions that come to mind.  All topics are fair to visit about.  Do you have any local support to help you along as you lose weight?  I go to local support meetings, my hubby tries, he is still learning too.  I use this group for my day to day support needs.  Although I get more than I give, I am here for help to others.

Start making needed life changes as you work your way to the surgery date.  It helps when surgery is done.  Hugs, Kathy

Boy, you have come to the right place. Before my surgery I felt excited and nervous too.  WLS offered me a new shot at a healthy life and I am grabbing on with both hands. I look forward to getting to know you better!

Hi Sherry and welcome. I'm also waiting eagerly. I'm hoping my surgery will be the first of February. I haven't already been through this so I can't help quide you but I will be going up the path WITH you and hope we can help each other along with all the wonderful supportive people here. This place is so great because you don't see all the things that sometimes go on in other places. Just support, friendship, and encouragement!

Hugs,
Rhonda
