Hi!
Peeking in, doesn't look like anyone's had any tragedies or serious struggles. I see one post from a new board member - Hi Anka!
Today I give thanks to my co-worker Becca. It was through conversations with her that I learned the facts about WLS in this day and age - I never thought, with "only" 120 pounds to lose, that it would be an option.
Have a great day everyone!

Good to see you this morning Darlene. I too am glad that there are no crisis brewing that anyone has shared about. Morning to all the bariatric buddies. If you(anyone) have one(crisis), please feel free to share, this is a safe place to let things vent.
Thank you Becca for leading Darlene to health. I am thankful for my success at this point, for my family and friends, for puppy love from our two dogs, for taking less medications than last year, the list is just starting. Anyone else have and things to share that they plan to give thanks for this week?
I had a great 3 month post of visit yesterday, all my labs are 'normal', no changes in medications at this time. Just keep following the program of getting in my liquids, protein and supplements. Continue the exercise. Whewwwwww, next follow up is at 6 months.
Hope everyone has good things planned for the Thanksgiving holiday. Things that involve more than just food. Have a great day. Hugs, Kathy

Good morning! Hope everyone is gearing up for a wonderful day today. I am doing my best to, but woke up in a balh mood. So i am working to follow the lead of the sunshine, and get my day on track to be much brighter.
I am thankful for the opportunity to have had wls, and for the great results I am achieving. I am also thankful for the stregnth to continue to make good choices each day. Not that I make all the right ones, but I try darned hard!
darlene, 120 lbs is the weight loss goal I had too. I am 13 lbs away from that, only 9 from a normal BMI. Funny tho, I saw my weight loss surgery surgeon the other day, and he informed me that he thinks I have lost plenty and that I should start focusing on maintaining instead of losing. I told him I really wanted to at least get to where I could say I am at a normal BMI..he said "well okay if you must, but not much more than that" I laughed. I am thinking I could still lose another 20 or 25 and be perfectly healthy. But he doesn't think so. I am very glad that he is pleased with my results.
