Sharing a decision I have made.

I have to be honest in that I am not sure how ready I am to share this decision, as the few people I have mentioned it to, have been less than supportive, except for my daughter & hubby and even he questioned it which I wasn't happy with. I feel like the decision I have made, is mine and mine along to make. And don't appreciate the naysayers trying to change my mind.

So.. I have decided to have plastic surgery. I have scheduled it for Feb 8th. AND it is something I really want to do. It is something I am doing.

The few people I have told say to me, OH NO you look great...you don't need it. I get very irritated with these comments. They don't know what I need or not. They see me with clothing on. They see that I am much more slender than I used to be. What they do not see is why I'd want to go through this surgery  when I don't look "that bad".  Ohhh this frustrates the heck out of me. I have hit a time in my life where I no longer take well to others trying to make my choices for me, or to sway my feelings and thoughts on things I want for me. Patrece has decided to live her life for herself for a change, Not that I am abandoning anyone, just that I am doing what is right for me.

So.. this is the decision I have made, and the struggles that go along with it. But thought I'd share it.

Good for you, Patrece; I think you should do what YOU want!  I've already decided on plastic surgery, including getting a boob job.

It seems so often in life we spend so much time trying to please others or at least stop them from being angry with us or judgemental.  You are so right about it being time to make these decisions for ourselves and not for anybody else.

As Linda said, "You go, girl!"

Patrece, I know how you feel and I am 100% in your corner.  I am sooooooooooo excited for you.  You just keep in mind that you are doing this for you and you have to be happy with your body.  I know I am not happy looking at my body without clothes.  I look much better with clothes as I am sure you know exactly what I am talking about.  I cannot stand looking at myself and I know my hubby loves me for who I am no matter how much skin hangs, however, I need to love myself.  Therefore, I will also have plastic surgery. Keep me posted on your surgery and be happy and healthy!
Hugs

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

No arguments from this area.  You know what is best for you.  That is what we tell everyone else on this board.  I am in your corner for support.  You can rest and recover at my place if you like, just warning you, we will have snow on the ground in Feb.  I want you to be happy in your own skin.  Do what you need to do for happiness.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, phewwwwwey on the naysayers.  Love and hugs, Kathy

Trece only YOU know what is right for YOU... I can identify with the wanting Plastics -- Money is not there for me and probably never will be -- So I have to "deal" with the flabbies and the saggies all over -- But for someone to tell you or suggest that you do not need something is completely WRONG... Sharing an opinion is one thing... forcing their view on you is completely different....

Love ya and big Hugs!!!!

I'm with everyone else. Go for it girl! I know I am going to be a boob candidate since my boobs have been large and laying on my belly for 30 years! When the fat is gone I will have 2 empty bags. We have to feel good about ourselves and if p.s. is in your future because you want it, then by all means go girl!

ps - what kind are you planning?

Thank you all for your kind words of support and encouragement. I appreciate it so very much.

The procedures I am having are: a tummy tuck with tightening of the muscle, having my boobs put back where they go..lol, and enchanced as I don't have much left to put back..and possibly an inner thigh lift. Then he is likely going to do a brazilian butt lift which is done somehow via fat transfer (I have to research this more before I fully decide to do this part) and the fat being transferred would be taken from my handlebars, via liposuction.

All in all its a lot of work! I will be mIA for a while when I do this.

Thanks again for the support and encouragement. It means a lot to me.
Hugs to you all!

Ok so dont get mad at me for saying this BUT you do look good. As you have said its only what I see with your clothes on...We all know that when you are naked its a whole different story...I do think your decision is personal and yours and yours alone...You see yourself everyday and know what your body needs...I support your decision to have plastic surgery to get you to where you want to be!!
