Silencing your self-critic - no perfection

Morning bariatric buddies !

I found article on silencing the self-critic in you, thought I would share a little each day this week.

Having a calm, peaceful mind greatly improves your efficiency.  When your thoughts are free from self-criticism, you can confidently do what you want to without fear of doubt.  Today I ask you to realize that you do not need to demand perfection from yourself.

Let's build a day at a time, yesterday, we worked on making positive thoughts a habit.  Today, let's work on self acceptance.  We are all human and come with the human weaknesses.  If something happens that is not planned, do not spend the time or energy kicking yourself in the shorts.  The bruising is not needed.  Instead, acknowledge that you are human and did not intent for that to happen.  Get yourself up, dust yourself off and tell yourself - "It's OK. I did..... and it is over."  Take a couple of deep breaths and start afresh with good thoughts and actions.

As I write this, a cartoon character pops into my mind.  I see the cartoon character trying to kick itself in the rear, some sort of funny actions in the process.  The next clip of the cartoon shows the character walking off with a spring in their step and whistling a happy tune.  I am not an artist, so no real comic strip coming.  Use your mind to recreate the scene.  I know you can do it.
