Does anyone with an RNY use Lean cuisines or Smart Ones?  I'd like to use that option sometimes, but wasn't sure how to do it.

Thanks!
Mary

Haven't tried them, cooking most of my meals at home still.  I would check out the nutritional stats, stay away from the higher carb ones.  Try one at home first to see your reaction before thinking of taking one to work for a lunch.  Best wishes with the sampling.  Let me know what happens.

I have eaten some of the Lean cuisines.   They are very good.   The Smart Ones has too much salt or soudim

It is very very very rare I will put something that processed into my pouch. and most all frozen dinners, even the ones claiming to be lean, can be packed with sodium and carbs. Read the labels carefully, and choose wisely, and please don't get into the habit of choosing these too often. They really are not a great choice, but very occassionally in a pinch, I'll have one. I think in the year and 4 months since my surgery I have had 3.

I know they aren't the best - but while DH is on the liquid diet (before & after surgery), I didn't want to cook too much.

I understand completely.  I was not a fan of cooking odors in the house during my liquid phase.  Sure you don't want to join him and repeat the liquids :)   (Just kidding)  Sounds like a plan.  Just keep the protein content up there for your health.  Hugs, Kathy
