Bariatric Buddy
I am a newbie with a newbie question.
Hello. Welcome to our group! I am not a band patient so have no personal experience, but from my research, you will feel restriction. You probably need another fill, but they like to begin gradually so they do not overfill and cause you troubles. This would be a good thing to address with your surgeon or surgeons nurse.
Wishing you the best of luck! Let me know how it goes, and again thanks for joining us!

Sorry, I don't know much about the Band, and the main Band-er that I know of here has family visiting and isn't online much right now.
There are message boards specifically for Lap Band patients, they may be able to help you too if no one here responds:

When I was thinking about and learning about the band, I was told that it may take a couple of fills before I felt the restriction. As they perfect your fill, the restriction will be there. They don't want to overfill and cause troubles. Just remember to eat slowly and mindfully, stop when satisfied, not stuffed. I eventually decided to go with RNY. Sukie has more experience with the band and will be able to answer some of your questions. She will stop in soon to check the boards.
Glad to see you join in the threads. Check back often and share with everyone. Best wishes and hugs, Kathy

I am a lapband patient but I do not have my surgery until 12/3. But I think your best bet, especially being the first time getting a fill, is to call the doctor and speak to him/her or one of the nurses. There is always someone on call and it should not take much for them to call you to ease your mind.
