Good morning, everyone.

I am having a good day so far, although my food has already been bad.  I am going to start attending OA meetings again.  I knew before I had my surgery that this would be an issue for me and I have to start working on this now.  I am most definitely a carbohydrate addict.

In the meantime, I am wearing a pair of jeans that I haven't been able to get into for 8 months and the T-shirt has been sitting in a drawer for over a year; both too small to get into until now.  HURRAY!

The day is perfect (for me); 50 degrees and gray skies.  I'm not a summer person and this is my favorite time of the year.

I hope you all have a great day.

Morning Colleen and all the rest of the buddies,

Beautiful day here in northern MN, frost on the car windows and roofs of the neighborhood homes.  Defrosting my car to head out for shopping and errands.  Almost 35 degrees out so far, signs of improvement are there.  Oscar and Gretta have that pleading look about them this morning.  They will have to wait till it gets a little warmer for a long walk.

Congratulations of getting into the smaller sizes Colleen.  Yahooooooo.

Sitting here, watching a chickadee start its day at the bird feeder, very acrobatic little bird.  Done with 2 loads of laundry already this morning.  Worked on and completed the repairs on some clothing while waiting for the washer.  Couple of tasks in the process.  More to come in a bit.

Congrats Collen on going down in sizes.. It is exciting and encouraging isn't it?
I am sorry you are struggling with your carbs. I know they were my biggest enemy too. But seems if I stay clear of em, I don't crave em. Once I give in tho, makes me want more. Glad you are seeking help. You are very wise to do this now, so that later, you don't end up still in the battle with em and regaining.  Good for you for taking the initiative now!
Hope your day was wonderful!

Just say NO to Carbs...

Hi again, I work night shift and sometimes am online in the middle of the night on my days off.  I don't try very hard to get myself onto the normal folks sleep schedule on my days off.  Just easier to keep my usual schedule.  I went shopping today, found a pair of slacks a size smaller than last time I bought some.  Jeans, my favorite brand still is Just my size.  Went from 22/24 to now easily fitting into an 18/20, a few more pounds and I will try the next smaller size.  Only bought 1 pair, I woun't be in this size long.  The larger ones are starting to hang lower on my hips, don't want to be losing them at the wrong time.  No peep shows here.

I found that I wear out my walking shoes much quicker since surgery, the soles wear unevenly due to my gait, then the uneven waer makes the gait worse.  Miles of walking each week, probably close to 5 miles during the usual day.  Some on the treadmill, some dog walking and the rest activities of living and work.  Yesterday I got 15000 plus steps on my pedometer.

Hugs, Kathy
