Finding my way back to normal...

Charlotte Paxton

Hello everyone!  I am finding my way back to normal, after having a very hard week.  I want to thank everyone for the prayers, kinds words when I lost my Dad.  He was such a special man in my life, and always will be.  He was my best friend and my hero.
Finding my way back to normal, has been harder than I thought it would be.  I am just taking it one day at a time.

I saw the photo you posted of him.  One lucky man to have you for a daughter.  Take care as you venture back into life.  One day at a time is a wonderful place to start.  I am here when you need to vent or a shoulder to lean on.

Lots of hugs, Kathy

One day a time sounds like a wonderful idea. Losing someone we love is never easy, but it sounds like you have a great family for support, too.

Sending more prayers your way,

Keep healing and looking ahead. The day will come that you will find comfort in the memories. Know I care so very much about you and your loss. I just struggle to find the right words.

Sometimes a day at a time is too much!  I remember when my dear old dad passed away 11 years ago.  It felt like my heart had broken.  And the sad feelings of grief and anguish came in waves. I'd be fine and then it would hit me again.  It was difficult for quite awhile.  Take good care of yourself and know that little by little you'll be just fine.

Thanks everyone.  I went through the loss of my Mom almost 5 years ago.  I remember it hurting and missing her, still do.  But, this is worse than it was loosing my Mom.  I was so much closer to my Dad than my Mom.  Right now one day at a time is a little much.  I take it moment by moment, and that can be minute or by the hour.  Being in the house where I grew up with him just makes it even harder.  Thanks for everyones comments and posts.  You can count on me to hit you up if I need to talk.
