finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!  we asked the doc if he could go to rehab yet and he said no, so dad agreed to let a new person come in.  he has insurance that will cover all but 5 dollars a day for someone to come in for 5 hours each day.  he told me to set it up and he would sign.  he agreed to all this after i told him what all the doctor told me the last time i spoke to the doc.  about getting more rest so i could heal, nibbling constantly throughout the day, etc.  doc wanted me to put on ten pounds, but i told him wrong about how much i weighed. i said 131.75 and it was really 134.75 so i figure i only have to put on 7 pounds.  so what happened, i  lost two more pounds. go figure.  if this keeps up i will be a 90 pound weakling along with my dad. lol  he has also started treating me a lotttttttttttt better. before i couldn't do anything right and he was rud to me. this past week he has actually tried to be nice and considerate.  i am so grateful for this.  sorry i haven't been around much, been resting as much as i can, but still i am just exhausted.  my shrink said my face looks gaunt, that i needed to gain more weight.  i have noticed i have a lot more lose skin and wrinkles on my face now. i think i could gain 15 and be just fine.  well enough about me. how are you doing sukie?  patrece, have you gotten moved yet?  kathy, how is work going and how are the babies?  everybody who has had surgery recently, how are you doing?  everybody who is waiting, are your nerves ok?  alll the rest, i'm sorry if i didn't mention you personally, but i just forget names, but i still care so very much.  let me know if i can every be a shoulder for you. it helps me so very much. love, vick    p.s.  as far as my boobs are concerned, think of two pancakes with a big blob of butter hanging off the end.  and they are wrinkled.  lol

Ohhh Vick...you are a hoot! Gone are the tube socks with eggs in the tips huh? LOL.
I am soooooooo glad you father finally came to his senses! Now maybe you can actually focus on YOU for a while and get some weight back on. Don't you think it is about time tho, that you update your avatar? Its been the same one since you joined the group months ago! Poundssss ago!
Are you feeling any better at all? How is the wound healing going for you? If you can't eat enough, drink like 3 Carnation instant breakfasts (sugar free) a day in addition to your meals. That will help, as it is a nicely balanced nutrition.
The move will officially take place Saturday. Thats when the movers come to move the heavy and bigger stuff. meanwhile I am packing and moving boxes over every day. There are a couple of large items that will have to be moved by another place (hot tub & BIG free standing umbrella that goes over it.) That'll be done Tuesday. Then all should be moved and then settling in begins, and of course getting this place in order for the next people that will live here. I see light at the end of the tunnel. Can't wait to be in the new house and can't wait to rest a bit, have been putting in long hard days.
So great to hear from you! Glad your father has been nicer to you. You deserve it! And glad he has accepted in home help, so you can take care of Vick and be with your husband more and your doggies. With things getting a bit back to normal for you, I am hoping that will help you get some weight back on and heal up faster.
Have missed you alot on here girl!
Love and hugs
Patrece

Ah Vick,  So, so, so glad your dad came to his senses, and you will get a break.  Please take the best care of yourself that you can.  I want to see a current photo of you, your current avatar is outdated.  Do I have to come visit you to take the photo, worked for Patrece. lol

The dogs are fine, loving it when we still get in dog walks, that will be over for the winter soon enough.  They get chilled when the snow sticks around.  Work is busy, sick kid season you know.  Wishing the pounds would fall off faster, seems like things stay stagnant, then I do a 60-90 minute session at the gym and the next couple of days, a few ounces disappear.

Had the best time at chat last monday, we wrapped things up at the 3 hour mark.

So sorry the droppy cakes,  leash that pat of butter on up and swing them over your shoulder, newest style of shoulder wrap, thinking shoulder pad style, hehehehe

Missed your whit here on the group page.  Hugs, Kathy

Time to shake things up lady...I am thinking you need to squeeze in a small nutritious snack with the esrt of your meals. Your activity level is fairly high, so I think you are in a bit of starvation mode. My doc started me on only 3 meals no snacks. I had to add in an extra meal each day to get the loss going better at about 2.5 months out. Even cottage cheese, or fruit jsut something else in the day to assure your body more food is to come regularly.

Vick,
Loved the image of the butter on the pancakes
Glad things r looking up for u.
I am 2 weeks post op and just started full liquids today.  My biggest concern is that I have only pooped once since surgery.  Any advice?

are u taking stool softeners, be sure and do that. my doc recommends miralax and benefiber also. you sure don't want to get constipated. however, being on just liquids you won't have regular bowel movements, they will probably be runny until u start solid foods.  how much weight have u lost total. vick

Like Vick stated.  Benefiber and miralax.  Constipation is the worst thing. btdt.  The benefiber disappears into my water and crystal  light, never know they are there, never gets thick or gloppy either.  Same with the miralax, just mix it in with the benefiber and fluid.

Are you in pain from the lack of BM? There's not alot of solids to pass right now. But also make sure you are getting in plenty of water in addition to the other liquids, this helps too. Protein can be binding, so consider the good advice Vick and Kathy passed on.

Thanks for your ideas.  Do you take the mirilax and benefiber on a daily basis?  I went to my local support group last night and they convinced me to call the MD which I did so.  I ended up using a suppository rather than the mirilax and had good results.  Thank the lord.
Vick...I have lost 18lbs since surgery.

Keep the faith
