I believe it is 600 to 800 a day, but I am going to have to look into it. Maybe be different for you banded folks!
Get back to you soon.

Okay... I am back... wasn't that quick?!? Here ya go...

Band patients should ingest less than 800 calories of food each day for the first 12 months and then up to 1200 calories a day after 36 months.

And thats the rest of the story! Hope this helps!
Hugs to Sukie!

Yikes...I ate 1000 today :( My protein shakes alone are 200 when I make them with milk. No wonder I'm not losing weight. This is a dilema. That only leaves 600 calories for my meals. 200 for breakfast 200 for lunch and 200 for dinner. Hmmm, this is not good.

It sure does! ( all the protein shakes take up most all of your calorie allowance) And I believe it is well in excess of 600 cals. Now remember goal is to stay under 800 cals, so don't limit yourself to just 600. Are you using skim or 1% milk in your protein drinks? If not, try doing that to save some cals.
But you can't "eat just 200 cals a day after protein intake either.
ok.. so we need to make a plan here...
Do your best to stay away from the rice, potaoto's, any breads unless whole grain, then try to keep it at like a half slice. Staying away from these carbs is going to help you alot in losing weight. If I were doing the badn, I'd probably have my protein source (meat) and a salad or another veggie at meals, and leave the other stuff alone, at least for a while.
Also be sure you are getting in your vitamins and supplements in the propper amounts.
FYI no sugar added carnation instant breakfast, can provide you with protein, but also good nutritional value, maybe substituting 1 or 2 of those a day for breakfast and a protein shake would help,. and if I recall they are either 120 or 150 calories each.

DISCLAIMER: (CYA thing)
BUT remember Sukie, this is only my opinion, and I am not a nutritionist nor a doctor. I just know what works well from experience. And am sharing that.  This is for informational purposes only and not medical advice.

Damn I really need to talk to my nutritionist. I see her in 3 week. Trust me, I'm staying away from most carbs already...occasionally I'll have some whole wheat crackers or wheat toast but that's it.  I'm sort of bummed now :(
