dr. warnock wants me to gain at least 7 lbs.  he wants me to eat a tblspoon of peanut butter 5 or 6 times a day. 1/2 avocado a day. cheetos. biscuits and gravy. he said he wants me to be nibbling on something all day long.  told him i can't eat as much as i used to. i used to be able to eat 4 oz of meat now i'm down to 2 oz.  i'm afraid i will do what he wants and i will gain the weight back and keep gaining and then i will have a nasty eating habit. he also wants me to rest throughout the day as much as i possibly can.  i also have to keep taking my ulcer meds.  he is worried about me and wants to hear from me every two weeks.  this is crazzzzzzzzyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!   also medicare pulled the payment they made on my original surgery and now i owe 27,000 to the hospital.  it is being resubmitted.  whoa is me.  can life get much more stressed?  well enough about me.  i hope everybody is doing well.  take care of yourselves. love, vick

(((((Vick)))))  You must try to comply.  We want you alive and healthy.  You body needs calories to heal the wound.  Taking ulcer meds isn't the worst thing.  I am worried too.  But I want to hear from you more often than every 2 weeks.  Miss your tube sock stories, lol...

Hope the medicare issue gets resolved ASAP.  Get your butt to a meeting, eat your proteins, and rest.  Is your dad less work now?  Please tell me that you got your parents other help.

I want you to reread your last sentence.  Take care of yourselves.  Now follow your advice my friend.

Hugs, Kathy

Please please please follow the dr's orders as much as you can!! If he tell you you need to gain weight then please try to. I know it's not easy with  our micro mini  pouches, but please try. IT sounds like your body needs the extra calories right now.

I'm so sorry life is so hectic for you right now...I'll be sending up some prayers your way.
Hugs,

ahhh doggone Vick.. you always seem to have so many stressful things coming your way here lately. I am so sorry life has been such an all around struggle for you these last few months.

For now eating as your doctor recommends is in your best intrest for sure, as you are still in your loss phase, and you seriously cannot afford to keep losing for another 6 or 7 months.  You lost your weight very quickly compared to most people, and we have to keep you healthy. Now...there will come a point at about a year and a half out, that you will stop losing from the surgery. As that time draws near, you will probably have to retrain yourself to eat properly for wls maint. Once your loss really slows more, your doc will probably have you transition back gradually.

Is the rest to keep you from being active and thus not burn many calories? or is there more going on here with that?

Now.. How can medicare pull the payment? It was for a hernia repair right? You paid the difference for the other work I thought? I would absolutely file an appeal, several if you must. Thats just so wrong! I am so sorry you are faced with this struggle on top of all of the rest of them.

Please take good care, and please keep us posted Vick. We love you and care about you. Also, remember you can call whenever you want to. Day or night. I mean it! Are you back at home, or still with your mom and dad helping out?

Big hugs and lots of love coming at ya!

the rest is so my body can heal from my last surgery and from the HUGE wound dr. warnock made on my incision line.  i have a wound vac on it now and it's been there for about 3 weeks and will be there for 6 or more weeks (i found out today).  the payment medicare they took back is from my bypass surgery in january.  they said the coding was wrong.  i have upped my protein to 80 and over a day.  thanks for the support.  i really appreciate it. love ya, vick

Vick,
I am sure your surgeon has advised you to eat this way to aid in healing of that wound.   sounds pretty nasty.  I know it is frustrating but if it does not heal you will get VERY sick (sepsis) and that will help no one. Weight loss is not your primary issue at this point...even though you want it to be.  sorry!!!

Keep the faith
