Good Riddance

Some of you may remember me posting about my not so support friend. Well last night I was telling her that I started going to Curves. Her response was "I don't like Curves, it's not a good workout, all it uses is your body weight." This coming from someone who does no exercise whatsoever.  So I said to her that I feel she always has something negative to say when it comes to my surgery or weight loss. She totally lost it, said I was just in a bad mood and taking it out on her, that if I get so touchy at her opinions she'll keep them to herself. After a long fight that resulted in a lot of nasty words on both our parts, I asked her to never speak to me again. I deleted her numbers from my phone and threw away her address from my book. I am so tired of always apologizing to her for things that are not even my fault so to keep the peace. I am not doing it anymore. I refuse to have people in my life that can't support me. I'd rather do it along than with negative "friends."

I'm a bit bummed today, but I also feel as if  weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I guess  I was more upset than I realized cuz I ate a king size kit kat bar lol. BUT tomorrow is a new day and I'm on a mission to put myself first no matter what. I have gone thru too much to let nay sayers get in my way.

Thanks for letting me vent, everyone.
Love and hugs to you all...hope everyone had a better day!

I do indeed recall your post not so long ago about this "friend". I know it must hurt and be a bit depressing, but KUDO's to you for standing up for yourself and speaking how you really feel. IF she were really a friend, she would have valued knowing how she made you feel and used it to fix her actions.

It almost sounds like she used you as a way to make herself feel better, by tearing you down, especially when you are on your way to good things. Reminds me a lot of how my mother always treated me. I moved to a totally different state to put the needed distance between us, to maintain my sanity and try to recoup some kind of self value and esteem.

The king sized kit kat bar... well thank your lucky stars you didn't have RNY, cuz you'd have been on the potty for a long long time..lol. No lecture here! You know what you need to do... cuz you said it in your post "Tomorrow is a new day and you are on a mission..." YEAY for you! The only thing I might risk squeezing in here is maybe consider it as the next moment is a new moment...etc.  YOU GO GIRL!!! Let NO ONE ever stand in your way of anything you decide to do for you! (Unless it's illegal...lol just kidding).

I am proud of you! You are growing by leaps and bounds, and I am honored to be traveling your journey with you!
Love and hugs!

It is unfortunate to lose a friend but the question is was she truly a friend or an acquaintance.

Keep the faith

I can't help but think that this person was not really your friend. A true friend you support with each step of the way and encourage you to try new things that will be good for you and assist you in your weight loss journey.

I am sure you will find someone who will uplift you instead of being negative and bringing you down, and remember... OH might not be face to face, but you still have friends here to help you through.

We can't choose our families, but we do choose our friends.  I think you made a good choice on letting this one go!  All the best.
