EXPERIENCE WITHOUT REFLECTION IS HOLLOW

I want to thank everyone for the kind words, thoughts and prayers after the loss of my Dad.
I have been trying to get back to some sort of normal since his loss, having some good days and some bad days.  I find myself looking for him, when I know he is not here.  Being that I took care of him for so long, and being a "Daddies Girl" makes it that much harder.  He was my best friend, I am just missing him.
I do know that he is in a better place, and out of pain.  But, I guess I am a little stingy, I just wanted him around for a little bit longer.

Oh Charlotte, It is so understandable that you would want more time. I don't think we are ever ready to give up those we love so dearly. It also seems his decline and passing came very close together, so there wasn't even much time to try to adjust to and accept the idea of losing him.

With each day, you will get closer to finding comfort in the memories, intead of pain. Until then, reach out to those who care about you. Try to find something to take your thoughts in a different direction for a while each day, be it a good book, or an activity or craft or something. Just to get a bit of a break from the "thinking". And please take good care of YOU during this hard time.
I'm here if you need a nice strong shoulder.
Hugs
