Friday's today post

Writing down my today I will ideas yesterday was good for me.  I struggled with completing the exercise part of my list yesterday.  But I felt great once it was done. 

Today I will:
Sleep as long as needed to be refreshed.
Eat high quality protein. (just finished an agg and a slice of turkey bacon)
Take all my supplements.
Take the dogs for a walk, weather permitting.
Go to the gym, not dependent on the weather.
Drink my fluids.
Spend time on being good to myself.
Ignore the thoughts that are detrimental to my success.
Share my enthusiasm with others.

What will you do to benefit yourself today?  Go ahead, writing it down makes it more concrete.  At various times during the day, pause, take a few deep breaths and become aware of following your plan for the day.  Celebrate your success.  Refocus if needed and go forward.  Let's share our statements of "Today I will".  Hugs, Kathy

Tday I will:
Eat breakfast within 30 minutes of waking up (did it)
Focus on getting in my liquids
Work on the rentals, but also rest as needed, due to the flu bug biting me.  (nausea bad aches blah's, the npormal flu stuff)
Take a moment to appreciate life and the weigfht loss I am accomplishing.(however slowly at this point) And all of my blessings
Stay active (as flu permits)
acknowledge my good choices and accomplishments
Just do the next right thing.
Right now the next right thing is a little nap, as the mornings work has really worn me down and the nausea is bad right now, as is the headache. So tylenol and a little nap...then back to work on the rental.

I didn't get on here soon enough to plan out my day, so I thought I would share how I did.

I got in all of my supplements today.
I purchased a protein powder that I can live with.  This has been a big issue for me.
I only got in about 32oz. of fluids today, lot of room for improvement there.
It rained all day today so I wasn't really able to get any exercise in.  I have a gym membership but I am not cleared by the surgeon yet to workout with any sort of weight training.

Today could have been better, it could have been worse.  Tomorrow will be the real challenge.  My husband and I are driving to Indiana tomorrow (we live in Michigan) to take a bed to his aunt.  We will be on the road for about 15 hours by the time we get back home.  I am going to have to pack some things to take for the road and hope I can find something that fits in with my eating plan when we stop to eat.

Great set of goals Colleen.  Be sure to get out and stretch you legs frequently while on the road.  Pack healthy snacks and lots of fluid.  Wonderful that you found a protein powder that you can tolerate.  When I was not cleared for lifting weights, I still went to the gym and took gentle walks on the treadmill.  Be good to yourself tomorrow with the trip.  Hugs, Kathy

I also didn't get on here earlier.  I am still waiting for my replacement glasses to come in so I wait until the end of the night and once I take my sleep meds to go online since reading makes me naseous.  

Today I:
Had my shakes :)
Walked outside again (3 days in a row!)
Took my vitamins
Enjoyed my first soft food- soft cheese
Graduated to soft foods
Got in all my fluids
