Have a good shirft tonight, and an even better session with your pillow in the am.

I am going to sleep in, just wake up when ever my body wants to. Then will wake up and go finish up the trim painting and cutting in , in the family room in th duplex, then I am doneeeeee with painting in that place! Gonna relax Sunday...then back to work on other stuff Monday. If nothing else all this work is keeping me out of trouble... but then I never got into trouble before all this work either...    Well, off to bed for me!

Naps are nice! I still love my naps, but haven't been taking naps every day here lately. With keeping so busy, it keeps me awake.
Thanks for the thought. I know you'd help if you were here and could. I appreciate that very much!
I hope your leg gets better soon. Wonder what on earth happened? Might need to go seek medical attention if it keeps up.
Love and hugs!

Hey Patrece, this is my first time posting to the board.   Have been a member for a month or more though just never have found the time to post but I see your post about getting a good workout and it made me laugh.   I am 5 mos 13 days post op lapband and I am in the middle of painting the interior of my house too.   Anyhows, I sure know what you are talking about when you say you are hurting as I am feeling it too.   I'm going to be doing low down painting today cause I have had a problem with vertigo the past couple of days and I'm afraid to be climbing and painting high.   But the exercise definitely does help.   I have lost a total of 77 lbs since my surgery on May 4th of this year.   I also went and got a membership at curves and have been working out there 3times a week for 90 minutes at 7 am so yea I just have busting my old butt all the way around but am not doing too bad for a old lady.  lol.
Enjoying the taste of goal.   Down 117 lbs.

Hey Anna! Great to have you join in the conversation!
For an old lady? may I inquire as to how old of an old ladcy you are? LOL I call myself an old lady alllll the time, and justify it with the fact that I AM a grandma! LOL But I will be 43 years old on Oct 27th.
Wowwww... you are losing weight as good as any RNY patient. You must really be eating wisely, and making great choices! Way to go! I am impressed! Kudo's to you also for all the exercise you get in. Thats a very important part of our ongoing success.
I have a question... about your vertigo... Has it only been when you are painting, or is it other times as well? If only during painting, it may be the fumes...I know this one first hand..lol If it is other times, you may need to ck your iron level, or perhaps it is your blood pressure dropping with changes in position (orthostatic hypotension). But staying away from the ladder sounds like a good move on your part!
I see you are from Ohio. That is where I was born and raised. I was in the Northeast corner...almost to Lake Erie and almost to Penn.
Good luck on finishing up your painting project... It is definately a work out. Its nice to know I am not in that alone.. lol.
Take good care and hope to see more of your posts around here!
Hugs and welcome!

Hi again Patrece, good morning.   Am just getting back on the board to post.   Actually, lady I am going to be 60 yrs old on March 20th of 2010 so yeaaaaaaa I really am a old lady.  lol.   However, I have to say I feel much younger and much healthier than I did a year ago and Nope you would not have caught me doing the things I am doing now for several previous years.   Yea I am very happy with my weight loss up to date, it has been a challenge but I will get the job done hopefully.   My weight pre op was 267 and I am now sitting on 189 so we are getting there gradually.   The exercising definitely was a big challenge for me as I have had two lumbar spine surgeries and have spinal and cervical stenosis but hey I want to be able to be around to enjoy my husband, children, and my 10+ grandbabies so I know I have to do it one way or the other and just keep plugging at it.   I would never have dreamed that this could be possible.   I will be going to my pc this week for my my routine blood levels so hopefully if there is possibly a drop in my iron that will get adjusted soon.   It was time for the cholesterol levels to be checked and the surgeon also gave me a order to get my other levels checked.   As for the possibility of the bp being out of whack I'm sure that is a possibility too and am hoping that is fine.   I do take meds for that also which quite possibly my need adjusting.   Actually I now live in Blanchester, Ohio which is about 25 miles ne of Cincinatti.   However, I know the area you are talking about as I was born and raised in upstate ny and have traveled thru that area.   I have a brother that actually lives in Monroe, Michigan right next to Lake Erie.   My vertigo seems to be much better this morning so I am assuming that maybe it was a problem with my ears, guess we will see.   I did however do a lot of woodwork painting yesterday so my spare bedroom will be ready to go once I finish in the masterbedroom.    So yesterday was a easy day other than the workout in the am.    Take care, and don't work too hard.   Hugs and God bless....Anna

Good morning Anna! Ok now.. first things first..60 IS NOT an old lady! You are just hitting your prime baby! hehehe. My pre-op weight was 270. I am struggling with my current (?) weight of 166 as it keeps bouncing around between 266 and 268 on me.  You are actually losing faster than I did. So what ever you are doing, you are doing it great! My goal is to get to 150 lbs, but my body has been slow to lose after 8 months out, and likes to toy with me along the way. I am just floored that with all of my increased activity with working longer days painting, my wieght is bouncing around upward by 1 - 2 lbs, I really thought It would help the weight come off a bit quicker. But I have a feeling it will drop again here soon. At least I sure hope so!

It is so awesome that you are able to do all these things that you would have never dreampt you could do isn't it? WLS is absolutely a wonderful gift of life for sure. I hear ya on being around to enjoy your hubby, kids and granbabies. I adore my grandbabies so much...they are the spice of my life. I am particularly close to my granddaughter, who had  a real struggle after she was born. Life flighted at 2 days, surgery at 8 days, and we were very afraid we'd lose her in the meanwhile. Then, I was the one camped out at her bedside while she was hospitalized and once she came home I raised her the first 3 weeks myself, as her mother was in a terrible postpartum depression. i continued to do a good majority of caring for her, until she was 7 months old and the kids got thier own place. Her and I are very tight. She is my world. I also have to be healthy to care for my husband. He was in a construction collapse a little over 2 years ago and was crushed head to toe, and blinded totally. This has been challenging, but I am determined to be healthy to be here for him.

I finished up all the painting in the one side of the duplex except for the laundry room. It has a litle work to be done in it and once that is done, I can paint it and it will be ready as far as painting goes. Then the carpet will be laid and I will go in and clean it up well, then we can rent it out.

Ohh yes I almost forgot.. I am almost willing to bet you need your BPO meds decreased if not stopped. With all the weight loss it may well be in normal range without meds.. that happened with me. I bet thats your culprit with the vertigo! Although I am not a doc...lol
Have a wonderful Sunday. Enjoy those grandkids.
Hugs! God bless you as well!

Hi Anna, good to hear from you.  Have fun painting the low areas.  I don't like heights, but with indoor painting, heights are not that big an issue with me.  Now don't even think of getting me up on the roof to help with shingling and such.  No, No,No.....

Congrats on the wonderful weight loss.  Keep up the exercise program, every bit helps.  I go to the local gym nearly everyday for 30 minutes of cardio and alternate arms and legs each time for strength training.  I am just over 6 weeks after my lap RNY.

Take care.  Hugs, Kathy
