Hey new(er) post-ops.. How are you all doing?
Hi Katie! great to hear from you. Congrats on your recent surgery! Sounds like you are doing great...now that the anesthesia wore off. Every now and then people have a hard time bouncing back from anesthesia. It is very VERY important that if you have any other surgeries after this one, that you make them aware of this, as sometimes it can continue to happen this way. You may require less anesthesia than you are typically given. Or it may just be hardetr on you than most. Whatever the reason make sure in all future surgeries you make the surgeon and anesthesiologist aware of it.
Ya know, its funny (odd) how we all react so differently after wls. Some of us are very tired and in pain for a couple weeks, and others seem to feel great after just a few days. We are all so very different. Thanks for sharing your experience as it may help others know that they may experience it as you have.
Npow.. I am sorry, I have to apologize in advance because I am goinbg to be very nosey here. You may opt to tell me it is none of my business if you'd like..lol. I will not be offended. I am just curious. You said you have lost 17 lbs and have only (I think I recall) 56 or so more to lose to get to your surgeons goal for you. So what I am wondering is if you had less than 100 lbs to lose before surgery? What is your doctors goal weight for you? My doc wanted me at 170. I want me at 150. I am bouncing right now between 166 and 168 (arghhh) but know I am not happy at 170, where he wants me. But I finally started losing again, got down to 166. Then started working my butt off painting a rental unit we have and I bounced back up a couple lbs.. go figure! Some times I wonder if my surgeon programmed the loss to stop where he wanted it to.. hehehe.
Nice to hear from you and i hope to see you around much more!
Hugs!
Patrece
