Had my monthly check up today, things are going good.  Told her that I was still not having a lot of get up and go.  She told me to eat breakfast, and get more protein and calories.  I guess I am not getting enough... I tend not to eat breakfast.  But, will try harder to get it in.
But, did measurements today.  Have not done them since before surgery.  But, the tape tells me that I have lost 14 inches thus far! woop woop!  It was good to see that on the tape.

Hey Charlotte! Your Doc is right. I too had to learn the hard way that I must get breakfast in, especially since my wls. I hit a terrible standstill in my weight loss and so decided to really focus hard on getting in my breakfast each day. It in deed did spur on the weight loss once more, and increased my energy some. They say that the best policy here is to get in a breakfast within 30 minutes of awakening, as this sets the metabolism into action for the day. I am NOT a big breakfast person, so I just eat some yogurt or a small serving of cottage cheee. It's easy, fast and has a decent protein content. If I had to cook or prepare breakfast daily, it would be much harder for me to accomplish, so I just keep it simple and it does help for sure.

Congrats on your lost inches and pounds! You are doing great! keep up the good work, and eat that breakfast! Another good option that is easy is a sugar free carnation instant breakfast. Anothwer quick easy start to the day, and it offers a decent protein amount and many other nutritional components that will get you off to a great start for the day.

Good luck getting into this new, and important habit. You can do it!
Hugs!
Patrece

Morning everyone, I am sitting here eating my breakfast.  A protein bar that my doc approved for me to eat.  It has 19 grams of protein.  I tried doing the carnation instant breakfast, I am not a big fan of milk, it was hard for me to drink it all.  The protein bars taste good and they are filling.  We shall see how it helps in the next couple of days.
I need to get my energy level up some, I am going to Idaho to visit my Aunt and Uncle who I havent seen in 5 years.  I know they will keep me busy with my Dad.  My Dad is going as well, it was his idea.

Hey there... great job on breakfast! Make sure you are getting in all of your vitamin and mineral supplements and enough protein, that def helps with the energy. Also, if you can make yourself go for walks every morning or early afternoon, they say it will give you a boost for the rest of the day.
Have a wonderful trip. I hope you have an awesome visit and get to have lots of fun.
