Bariatric Buddy
Super Saturday, winding down here in SD
Good Evening to my buddies,
I am finding myself missing your daily whit. I did not have access to a computer over the last day. I am still out touring the USA with my dad. We started in MN, travel led down I35 to Kansas, across to the west to Patrece's place in CO. Toured the Grand Gorge, the dunes and progressed northward. Yesterday, traveled through the mountains and enjoyed the beautiful fall colors. Today we stopped by tower monument and watched the climbers through the binoculars. The sides of the monument are nearly vertical and I wouldn't want to be climbing it myself. We walked around the base of the monument, 1.3 miles. Impressive sights. Saw at least a dozen people climbing the vertical rock surface. Tonight, we are in Spearfish SD. Going to mount Rushmore to visit tomorrow, then continuing along our way home. I will be back in my usual groove on this site in just a couple more days. Not sure at this time if I will make Monday chat, trying if I can.
Foods have been going well, choosing what is best for me as we eat out most of our meals. Tonight I had a chopped steak with mushroom gravy, hamburger was harder to chew, no problems noted. The dogs are eating well on this trip. I have leftovers from every meal for them to clean up. Keeping their level of human food to a minimal. They are such good travelers. I have been on the road a week now. The time is just flying by.
Toodles till I get back to a computer. Hugs, Kathy

Hi Katie, we walked around Devil's Tower yesterday, saw at least a dozen crazy souls trying to climb the tower. Take care. Hugs, Kathy

Hi, Kathy. It's quite a sight to see, isn't it? There's so much to do between the Black Hills and the Badlands. I'm impressed that you are out there traveling, not that far after your surgery. Good for you! That trip sounds a lot like the one my dh and I took in July. It was a blast, 27 days long, but I was still glad to be home :) All the best to you, hope I'll be joining you on the loser's bench before long! Katie
