Brrrr, it's cold here in Fairplay, CO

Hi everyone,

Traveling with my dad, we are still in CO, tonight stopped at Fairplay.  The weather is cold and windy.  30 degrees, the light hoodie is NOT enough.  We see snow on the tops of the mountains.  Enjoyed the Great Sand Dunes park today.

I had chinese last night, well sort of, ordered off the kids menu, still got the fortune cookie.  Just had to share the fortune with everyone else.  With every deed you are sowing a seed, though the harvest you may not see.  Got me to thinking of deeds that we do daily and don't even stop to think how they affect others.  Held the door open for an elderly couple, let some children pet Oscar and Gretta for a few minutes.  Called a friend to share support. Hugged someone who needed to feel hujman contact.  The list could just go on and on.  By the way, just tasted the cookie and shared most of it with my dogs, they loved it too.

How has everyone else done with sharing good deeds?

I will be MIA for a few days again, unless we stop at another motel with a computer available.  Take care of yourselves.  I will be back more faithfully after I return from this trip.  Hugs, Kathy

I just wanted to say that it was wonderful of you to share that with us. Thankyou, because I believe we all need to hear things every now and then to help motivate us and to keep us on track. I hope that you have a wonderful and safe trip back.

I drove 44 miles to watch my 12 year old granddaughter run in a cross country race yesterday.  Very windy, raining, Her run started at 4:00 and I was on the road back home at 4:30!  My little sweetie thanked me for coming.   The least I could do considering she was running in that weather with blisters on both feet.  She was crying by the time she finished from pain from the blisters but she finished!  I was sooooo proud.

Offered an umbrella to a woman who didn't have one....she declined but thanked me for the offer.  It was so windy that my umbrella was about to turn inside out.  Maybe she was afraid to be holding one if that happened.

Called my son yesterday to wish him a happy birthday.

Volunteered to drive all over the county to get provider agreements with the doctor's offices for H1N1 vaccine.  We should get the vaccine next week.......then the "fun" begins.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Thats Colorado for ya! Wait 10 minutes and it all changes. It was cold by where I live too i guess. Denver and mountains are expected to get snow. Its all happening a bit early this year, but i expected it. Stay safe!
