Good Morning Patrece, not hiding :-) just busy busy busy.  My daughter-in-law went into labor yesterday at her OB GYN appt and the doctor sent her to the hospital.  She is 3 centimeters and 50% effaced.  The doctor gave her 3 shots to stop the labor.  This is Chris and Cheri's 3rd girl.  Cheri is now at home with her very energized  2 and 4 year olds.  I have to say, I love my boys Chris (30 in December) and Joe (28), but I am glad there are more more children for me.  I love being a grandma or mayma as they call me much more than having another child at this stage of my life! Good talk to you again. Have a great weekend and talk to you on OH next week.
Hugs

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Oh my goodness. I gather that the 3 shots to stop the labor were given because she is going too early? She is pretty progressed, did the shots stop it then?
Congrats on the growing family. I LOVE being a grandma too! My Cheyenne calls me Grammy and I love that! I call her weeble (nick name Grammy has especially for her) and a couple of weeks ago she was over and I asked her something, using her given name, and she looked at me very seriously and told me "don't call me Cheyenne, I'm your weeble!" I loved it!
Enjoy those babies! They are so awesome! I hope all goes well with your daughter in law, and soon to be grandbaby! Keep me posted!
You have a wonderful weekend too! It's great hearing from you!
Hugs!

Yep, definitely early.  She is not due to Halloween.  However, I have been telling her since day one that she will have a September baby.  LOL The shots seem to be working.
I LOVE being a grandma too.  Caylin and Caysie call me all the time and it is so much fun.  Caylin calls me mayma or grandmother now that she is 4 she thinks it is funny that I am her grandma and/or grandmother.  Caysie still trys to call me mayma, but it comes out as memaw.  hahahahaha
Back to work I go.

I have not been hiding either, just awol a few days lol. Trying to get all the paperwork gathered that I can, and list for the doc to fax my surgeon. Oh what a tangled web weaved by my PCP... He made mistake and asked me about how the surgery appt was going. lmao. I let him have it then, seems he knew nothing about what his staff' Has Not' been doing. He knows now!
Not that it will matter much. But will make follow up calls and emails in next couple weeks to find out the progress. Sure wish they would get 'r done! I am ready to do this thing and get rid of the other two people hangin on to my poor old weakening bones.

Ohhh man! Your kidding? Just sitting on your paperwork from thier end??? I'd be very upset. I really don't think these places get it. They have no clue how much this means to us and how badly we want to do it and get on with getting healthy. I'm sorry to hear about his. Maybe they will get on it now.

Nice to have you back. Was starting to get strangly quiet around here.

So any clues on when surgery will be?
Hugs and welcome back!

Hey Patrece-

Need to ask you a question.  did you buy food online or go to the local store?

Pilar, I buy my protein and vitamin supplements online. But the food I buy at the grocery store. Most of what is good for us will be found around the outside parimeter of the store... but skip the bakery area! I get my protein from Unjury at www.unjury.com  then I get my vitamins from  www.bbvitamins.com  they will give you free samples of thier vitamins too if you request them.
I do not like any of the chocolate flavored viatamins and supplements, but the fruity ones are very good, especially for a chewable bariatric vitamin. If I can take em anyone can...lol. I am fussy on these.
Be sure to prepare with getting your basics for at least the first week post-op, before you go in for surgery. You likely won't feel like going out much right away after. have supplements, protein and a weeks worth of foods for the diet your surgeon has you on post-op. Sugar Free popsicles are GREAT I almost lived on em for liquids my first couple of weeks post op, as water made me nautious. Crystal light, or SF iced tea are good choices too, and of course good ole fashioned water!

Hello-

Thank you for youe advice on the protein and the vitamins. I have those two websites marked now! I hope I like them because I know I need the products, but if they taste bad to me or have a lot of artifical sugar they are not for me. I will see if I can find the ingredients on their sites or call the companies for them. I am allegeric to man made sugars....
