Meds are working!
The meds are working! Since I started taking the meds for my ulcer I have not had any more ! Which is a very good thing I hate doing that! I am still drinking my carnation instant breakfast for 2 times a day. I tried some mushy food last night and it did not hurt my pouch. Which is a good thing. I am not going to pu**** too hard, but having the mental hungry thing going on. Did anyone else have that right after surgery? Hopefully I am not going crazy!

You are definately NOT going crazy. Many struggle with the mental hunger. Your surgery didn't include brain surgery...so there are lots of adjustments and changes you will have to work on internally. We often develop a relationship with food, then when we have our surgery, it all changes physically, but in our minds it is still there until we find a way to change how we relate to food. So just work at this aspect as hard as you can, so when you are a year or two out, it doesn't have the power to affect your food choices and un-do all of your hard work!
So glad your meds are working! You must feel so much better!
Hugs and love!

Yay for the meds. Sooo glad you are feeling better. I am glad that my doc starts everyone on pepcid for at least the first 6 months. You have my deepest sympathy. Let your new little pouch have an easy time of this.

Thanks everyone! I do feel much better since starting my new My pouch is thankful for the meds as well. It was scarry going thru that, I have never had an ulcer before, even with all the stress that I have going on. But, me and "Hazel" will make it through this. I gave me pouch a name, I am strange, but sounds better than just calling it pouch.
I will have to work on the mind hunger, I can beat it, I have came too far for it to beat me now!
Plus, my PCP changed some of my normal meds around, so I hope that will help me out some too.
for everyone!

Vick asked the other day if I had named mine yet. Still pondering an appropriate name. It will come to me one of these days.

Lots of people name thier pouches... for the same reason you gave...ya just don't wanna have to refer to it as your pouch all the time. So if you are weird, so are a lot of the rest of us! I know I am an odd ball...lol Keeps things interesting I guess.
It took me about 2 months to decide upon a name I found fitting and that I thought was a little "cute" too. So don't worry kathy, you aren't behind yet... lol
