Lets all share at least one great accomplishment we had this week. It doesn't even have to be weight related. But lets share and celebrate just one wonderful thing we accomplished.

Mine hmmm  Well last Thursday I hit 100 lbs down. That was a biggie for me! Another is I managed to maintain my weight while away on our trip, and it is not easy to stay compliant on the road. (This morning, I was up 2 lbs tho, after chasing those babies all day yesterday... must be fulla poop?...lolol)  I am thinking it may be water weight from all the driving actually. I always swell in the lower legs while taking long drives like this.  I also got to visit with my brother who I have not seen for 3 1/2 years..

I guess since I am still pre-op, the biggest thing is that I have hit 20 lbs lost since i started Optifast.  It has not been easy, but I am determined not to boobytrap myself.  I was very hungry yesterday and almost gave in to one more dinner before my surgery on Tuesday, but with the help of my very supportive hubby I didn't do it.  Had my shakes and tons of water and went to sleep.

I picked up a fabric panel at church to make into a wall hanging to be hung in the church basement.  It has the words to Amazing Grace on it, along with a scene.

I also got to start eating things that were not liquid.

Ohhh Kathy, you are a crafty one? I love crafting and creating, but haven't had time to do anything lately, and my creative flow seems to be blocked...so GOOD for you! You'll have to take a pic of it and post it when you are done, so we can all see it!
Congrats on your graduation to the next level of foods. It's great to finally get to eat again huh? You are doing great! Keep up the good work! Thanks for sharing!

Double yea! I bet it will be beautiful, Amazing Grace brings me to tears every time. I think it says it all! Have fun finding new foods to enjoy. My doctor told me that I had to get out of my soct food comfrt zone and eat "real" food, so I have been slow cooking meats and beans to make them tender and easier to digest. I couldn't be happier that you are doing so well, but then again I knew you could do it! Boy, did that sound "teachery"? You know what they say you are who you are... and I am trapped in Elementary School!
