Hi everyone, Just reporting that with behaving myself, today was much better.  The pain is just an ache, reminds me to take it easy.  I have a new favorite food.  Probably be replaced with the next thing I try as my new fav.  Today it is nonfat re-fried beans.  Tried them 3 ways today.  Warmed with a little shredded cheese.  Warmed with melted shredded cheese and a little salsa, and tonight, warmed with a little melted shredded cheese and topped with greek yogurt and pureed salsa.  Nice to have something with just a hint of kick in it.  Works well for me, in the past I would have wanted to dip chips in this, good just by itself.  Getting ready to call it a night for tonight.  Dennis is still glued to the TV, I didn't even have one on today.  The dogs and naps and walks filled the day.

Have great sleep all, tomorrow's a new day.  Hugs, Kathy

EXPERIENCE WITHOUT REFLECTION IS HOLLOW

At the moment I am nursing a refried bean inury! I microwaved my beans and cheese and dropped the bowl (too hot) as I removed them and some of the beans popped up and blisted my hand and arm.... ouch, ouch, ouch! So consequently I have three crusty circles of fried skin. Don't worry though, I ate the beans in question! This weight-loss journey requires strength and tenacitity, especially with the food fighting back.

Way to go Tania, food conquered.  I hadn't tried refried beans before surgery, except in something premade at fast food.  They are good.  Take care of your blisters.  Hugs, Kathy

OHHHHHHH Tania! You poor thing! I hope your burns heal quickly. Burns are sooooo painful! I have a small one on my finger from touching the engine on my lawn mower a couple of weeks ago, and it is still healing. Duhhh on me for touching it huh? I was trying to keep the little door open that spits out the cut grass and when trying to attach the bungie cord I hit the engine.

Use antibiotic ointment to help keep it from getting infected! Ouchieeee.

Sooo true. I try to use antibiotic ointment after each handwashing. It doesn;t hurt so much now, just looks horrible. The pains of weightloss, lol. Don't they seem to stay around forever? Hey, at least I am a healthy healer. thanks for the words of encouragement.
