Tonight is an odd night, more pain than the last few days combined.  The pain is mainly at my waist level on the left side, over in front of my hip bone.  No where near one of the incisions.  Couldn't stay on the treadmill.  Not worth hurting myself.  I did walk the dogs with Dennis after lunch today, that went great.  Seems that as the sun went down, the pain level went up.  Taking a dose of my narcotic pain med, first dose in a week and headed off to bed.  Planning to stay there till the weekend is over if needed.

Have a great day, weekend.  I'll catch up sometime.  Night all.  Hugs, Kathy

Things like this don't just start for no reason gals. I have a couple of thoughts here, but am not a doctor of course, so take it as just something to think about.
1. Have you been having decent BM's? If you are constipated this could be the culprit. Try miralax if you think this is whats happening.

2. I had a spot on the left that was NOT at an incisional area. I called it my invisable boo-boo. It felt almost like a tear or severe bruising inside of me. Starting around 2 weeks out it started really bothering me. the pain increased with activity. When I finally asked my doctor about it, he said it is where the muscle was stretched way out to access the surgical sites, and that the underside of the muscle could have a small tear or bad bruising. It bothered me for months! Got better slowly as time went by.

3. Overdoing things

4. CALL your doc's and discuss this with them or thier nurses and explain exactly where the pain is and what it feels like. No point in taking any chances with anything! You don't wan't to set yourselves back if something else may be going on. Won't hurt tpo just make a call and I strongly urge you both to do so if this pain continues.

5. Love you guys!

Surprise, surprise, 2 am and I am wide awake, cleaned the kitchen counter, made a jello/fluff pie for Dennis.  Reminds me of key lime.  I don't plan to have any of this one, it'll just be for Dennis.

Now on to the pain, feels like a pulled muscle, bowels are fine, no nausea, food going down well.got mt 64 ounces of water in yesterday and 65 grams of protein.  Hurts more when I bend over.  Guess I will just rest more and see what happens, if it is still like this on Monday, I will call the surgeon's office.

Having a protein shake before trying to sleep again.

Thanks for the concern ladies.  Hugs, Kathy
