Wow..that is a lot of healing to do gal! But you'll do it. Be kind to yourself as you do heal. I think you are going to be very happy with your measuring tape! Has your sweeling gone down anymore yet? Do you still have any drains in place?
Get well and take good care of your body as you heal!
Hugs!

patrece, i got two of my drains out wednesday.  they really bugged me a lot, so it was a big relief.  i still have one in that drains blood.  it is down to draining 22cc's a day, which is down from 60 cc.  hopefully i will be able to get it out in a week or two.  it has to be below 10 cc before he will take it out.  my doc here took the other two out, was nice to miss the 4 1/2 hr drive.  i don't know if warnock will let my doc do the last one or not.  he might want to see me because it will be at about 5 weeks out.  have to wait and see.  i figure it will take about  a week or two after the last drain is pulled before i can hold my babies in my lap.  i don't even pet them much because they will think it is ok to jump in mom's lap.  i spent as much time talking about my babies to my shrink as i did about anything else.  lol  hugs, vick

Hey Vick, that is a lot of scar to heal.  Guess I have very little to whine about with my 2 inch lap scar.  But that won't stop me, for when  girl's gotta whine, she's gonna whine.  I felt like I was whiny last night.  Taking it slower today.  Slept in after being up part of the night.  Just got back from a group walk, Dennis, myself and the dogs.  I am getting to know where available rest rooms are along the way.  Little scary around here.  Newspaper gave a report on someone the police are looking for.  Female around age 47, asks to use your bathroom and while in the house, gets light fingered and you discover something missing later on.  No, it's not me.  I am very careful to use public rest rooms when I need to stop.

The pain in my left side is still there today, not quite as bad, feels better after walking and getting some deep breathing done.  Probably is the internal stitches and maybe some sore muscles from the pulling they did in surgery.  Passing more gas helps too with the discomfort.

Take care of those long incisions and take care of #1.  Hugs, Kathy

passing gas is definately one of the more releaving things we can do. u just have to be careful and make sure it doesn't have some color to it. lol   i don't have much trouble in that area, thank you very much.  i think my hair falling out is starting to slow down. yea!!!!!!!!!!  have a good day kathy. hugs, vick
