Changing PCP's

I am becoming more pissed at my PCP and his staff everytime I have to round up another test result.
His staff has not cared one iota about keeping up with mine or my sisters medicare requirements tests, muchless the results of all the tests we did at their office, and asked the PCP to referr us for.
This is not right!!!   WTF is up with this???

Needless to say that after our surgeries are scheduled and overwith, (hopefully soon) we will be finding another PCP. One that might actually care about the patient instead of money for everytime we visit.
I have called them countless times since the surgeons office contacted me about my test results not being faxed in, and they ask what tests? Well we left a copy for each of our charts of the tests we needed to have for medicare to approve our bypasses. They cant even find these simple papers for either one of us!
WHAT TIME IS IT? DUHHH!
SOMEBODY KICK ME PLEASE... (preferably in the head)
I can only imagine that since Dr. Bakers nurse is calling me wanting these results, it is getting closer for date scheduling.
Yes this is a major stress factor, and no I am not smoking more that 4 a day. I light one take a couple puffs and put it out. I do this with all 4 everyday. It is just old habits die hard I guess. Gotta have that light em and let em burn thing going on. I am using the patch too, but mostly is the letting them burn a minute then put em out thingy going on here. I only take actually about a puff everytime I light up. I know I can stop this too. I tried straws... they melt!

Linda, think about trying the nicotine replacement where you hold the stick in your mouth and inhale like a cigarette.  Not a smoker, can't think of what it is called at the moment.  How long do you have to be off the cigarettes before surgery?  The center I went to requires 6 weeks tobacco free before surgery.

You can give them up.  Substitute something else for the light and watch urge.  I have faith in your ability.  Stubornness helps.

Sorry about the run around with the paperwork.  Another of those 'hoops' we jump through.  Again stubborn resolve will get you there.  Hugs, Kathy

I think it is 4 to 6 weeks smoke free Kathy. I just sent an email to surgeons office telling them about changing pcp;s and asked if it would hurt to change now. I hope they send me back the ok to change.
My pcp dont even care about the stopping smoking thingy I am going thru. I just called to ask about a nicotine inhaler. And they played stupid with me.
This is not even funny anymore.
