well it is time to greet the day.hope u all have a wonderful day ahead of you.  i will be measuring my drains in 40 minutes and hopefully call my doc with some good news. i also hope he will let my doc here pull two of the drains so i don't have to make that 4 1/2 hour drive.  i will understand if my wls doc want to do it so he can check me out, but i hope he lets my doc here.  what do u have planned for your diet today. i am only as far as breakfast, but i bet a trip to the grocery store is in order so i can get some fish. pecan crusted trout sounds good.  protein on the outside and the inside. i bake it in the oven for about 15 minutes and then broil for 3 to crisp it.  i get it at the meat counter already rolled in pecans.  good stuff. i eat about 3-4 ounces. however, i don't know if i can eat that much now, i feel full most of the time with this binder on. except, when i do get hungry if comes on with a vengence, doesn't take much to fill me up.  have a great day. vick

I have good news this morning Vick,  I stayed in bed all night, didn't sleep the whole time, maybe awake about 30 minutes at 3am, but loved waking up late and knowing that i didn't prowl the house in the middle of the night.  It was so bad late last week that at 4 in the morning, I walked to 2 blocks to work and chatted with the night shift for an hour.  Surprised the dickens out of them when I showed up at that crazy hour.

Hope the drains are just drops and your local MD can remove them for you.  How long are you supposed to wear the binder?  Mmmmm craving fish myself.  I even dreamed of fish last night, I had one of those dreams where I cooked up a storm and froze lots of meals for later.  Anyway, the fish dish, great big whole side fillet, part had bread stuffing on it, part had mashed potatoes on it, part had some vegetable concoction on it, and about 1/4 of the fillet was unadorned.  Someone was trying to put the whole thing on one of those special shaped dishes to serve fish, the toppings all slipped right over the edge of the plate and it looked horrible.  I was way to busy while dreaming.  The pecan crusted fish sounds good too.  Can you tell, it is time to get off the carnation shakes...........

I have to go to the store for milk before I can make my first shake of the day, and it is nearly 10:30 already, catch everyone later on.  Hugs, Kathy

kathy, glad about the good nights sleep. i know that helps a lot.  your fish dream sounds almost like a nightmare, food falling off the fish everywhere. lol  boy you wouldn't walk anywhere on my side of town at 4 am.  i live in a pretty rough area. i would like to live in a small town. the smallest i every lived in was slidell, la it was about 15,000.  i liked it, but i missed texas so much. first time i visited home i actually got on my knees and kissed the ground when i crossed the border.  funny how we are raised here, it is like texas is a country in and of itself. we were a republic once, remember the Alamo!!!!!!!  there is a pride there that is almost unbelievable. we are taught texas his story as much as american history in school and college.  i live way up in the panhandle by palo duro state park. the second largest canyon in our country next to grand canyon. it is real rustic and pretty.  it is pretty flat here, but we are on top of the caprock, so rain often passes us by.  the sunsets and sunrises are unrivaled here. they are absolutely beautiful.  amarillo is rated with the arbor society as a special type of tree city. can't remember the exact phrasing.  we have planted a lot of trees where there used to be none.  we have a lot at our house even, we have 11 trees on our double lot (which is fairly small since they are mobile home lots). well, enough.  when do u get off the carnation diet?  the 16th?  that is wednesday.  bet u can't wait. will u have it again voluntarily?   lol  vick
