Morning Vick, I add extra protein to the carnation to get my 60 plus grams.  I have been using the nutrition tracker on the health part of this site and see that I usually get 86-90 grams of protein from this mix.  I am looking forward to getting some texture to chew, besides meds (gritty).

Fall is my favorite season, now getting to see the start of the changing leaves, the maples are turnig briliant colors.

Good morning Buddies!

My surgery is just a handful of days away, which is hard to believe.  I am on the 1200 calorie diet today and tomorrow, then on a liquid diet Saturday and Sunday, and then I'm off to surgery on Monday.  I have lost about 10 lbs since 08/29/2009 - not to shabby!

I have SO much to get done at work today so I'm keeping this short.  I hope all of you have a fantabulous Thursday!  Be kind to yourself!  And take care!

hey kim, good luck on your upcoming surgery. here is a list of some things to take to the hospital
1.  lip balm without petroleum jelly, you might need to use oxygen and petroleum is flameable
2.  sleeveless men's t shirts to put on under binder, makes it more comfortable, be sure and prewash
3.  good houseshoes, you will be walking
4.  pillow for use in hospital and on the ride home, slip under seat belt and hold against u incase u hit a bump
5.  i just used the hospitals gowns for a gown and a robe, saved a lot of packing
6.  toothpaste and toothbrush, or the hospital can provide
you really don't need a whole bunch, you will be sleeping a lot. good luck. vick
