Super Depressed
Sukie... Try cutting the meat into pea sized bites, thats what us RNY people are supposed to do, then chew it to death and back. You may need to stay with softer meats for a bit, like the 98% fat free chicken and turkey luncheon meat. (quality kind tho not the fake stuff) Tuna is also a good choice. and white fish if you care for fish. Just use care to eat really super slow and chew really really good. maybe that will help. Also remember 2% cheese and cottage cheese and yogurt are good sources of protein. I buy Great Value 1% cottage cheese, and it is actully my favorite brand. If I buy some anywhere else, I do not like it as well. Refried beans, navy beans split peas etc are all great sources of protein too. I like to mix refried beans with a touch of salsa, top with 2% shredded cheddar and zap it for a minute. It is actually very good and a very high protein source with the beans and the cheese. And it is sooo easy to make.
You won't give up. You are too strong for that. You deserve this too much for that. The scale can flucuate 2 to 3 lbs a day just from water weight, try weighing just once a week. Some times the scales can make us nutz and be our worst enemy. Measure now and then too.
Its going to happen honey. It really will.
Tough job, tough shift. I worked em both. But mine were 12 hour shifts not 14. thats got to be rough. I hope its only 3 days a week? Do little things like at the store, park father out, its little but it all adds up. Drink plenty of water, the more you drink, the less your body will store for fear of dehydration.
And again, remember...you won't lose as fast as us bypassers, but you will lose longer! In the end you'll be in the place you need to be. Don't skip meals / snacks or you go into starvation mode and your body will not let go of the fat.
Love ya girl! Hang in there. You are going to be fine and lose lots of weight.
PS do a search on high protein low carb foods, you may be suprised at some of the options you will discover for protein sources that will fit your dietary requirements.
