Sukie... did you read the Bariatric Buddy Blog post I made here? It may help you understand some of your mood better. And PMS never helps. YOU ASRE BEAUTIFUL! Your day will come when you will meet that special man. The ones worth having are worth the wait.  I am so very sorry you are lonely, depressed and feeling so down about life. If it helps at all, know we love you! You are not alone.
Maybe you need to talk to your doc about an antidepressant for a bit, its not unusual for people to need them post op for a while ... while everything is in an uproar physiacally and hormonally.
Big tight hugs and lots of love to you!

Sookie, friend of mine,  Your hormones are a raging right now.  Like patrece said.  We are here for you.  Sending you the biggest bear hug right now.  Get some sleep tonight and come back in the morning to share more.  our body is rebelling against the less calories, the release of hormones are playing tricks on your brain.  Probably not sleeping your best.  All combines to give the present outlook.  We all love you, I love you and know the best will happen one day just when you are not looking.

Send me a note if you like, I will respond.  Love and Hugs, Kathy

Sukie, wow, it really sucks to be so down.  you feel like ur heart is just draining fluid and soon it will dry up and blow away.  one day though, you will feel your heart rejuevenating and things will start looking better. maybe not tomorrow or the next day, but someday.  i had to have help. i started taking, and still take, antidepressants, and went to a therapist  who made me work at getting better. he wouldn't let me just slide by.  you know there is this saying about sitting in your own **** because it is warm.  translate to not doing anything about the pain because u know it and the known isn't as scarey as the unknown.  you are doing good reaching out, that is a big, big start. now talk to your doc and see about getting some help through counseling.  if u ever need to talk feel free to call me. trust me, i have been where u are at and thank my lucky stars i am not anymore.  i wish you the comfort you need and seek, but remember it is an inside job.  also remember, you are doing something positive about your weight. you won't always be a fat chick, you'll just be precious Sukie.  love, vick 806 236 2591 (cell)

Sukie I totally know how you feel.  But, don't be so down and hard on yourself.  You will find a man that will love you no matter what, just have to be patient and stop looking.  My wonderful man came into my life when I wasn't looking for that right man.  Just remember you wont be that "fat chick" for long! And then you will be turning all the heads of the men, and you can be just as picky as they were!

Good morning Sukie. Just sending warm thoughts and lots of love your way to let you know you are not alone and that I love you. I hope you are feeling more positive soon.
Like Vick said, you will be losing that extra weight. You have taken a huge step to take care of that. But ya know what, your are beautiful either way. And I know you are beautiful inside too. You are a lovely person, and Mr. right will come along when you least expect it. But for now, try to focus on you and getting where you want and need to be emotionally and physically. Then you will be ready for Mr. Right.
Hugs and love!

Thanks for the words of encouragement everyone. I guess my  hormones are just a mess lately. I try to be positive but it's hard. It's also hard to get my walks in like I should b/c I'm so damn tired from working nights. I feel like I'm dragging myself through quick sand lately. The weight is coming off so slowly, and yesterday the scale even said I gained weight! Hopefull I can make it to my real life support group tonight.

Thanks again everyone,
Sukie

Sukie, maybe you should just try to get in 3  10 minute walks while on break at work, or whenever it is convenient. You don't have to do it all at once. try starting there. A nice vigerous walk.
Review your doctors diet for you and make sure you are following it. Also if you are not getting in enough water that will slow it considerably.
One other thing to remember, is that with the Band, loss is slower than with RNY or other more invasive procedures So don't try to measure your progress based on what the ones who had RNY are losing.
If you don't mind me asking, how much are you down now?
Keep your chin up lady... you are gonna do this! It isn't an easy road, but once you get things balanced, its much more managable, and it can take a bit to adjust to all of this.
Hugs!

Thanks Patrece,
It's hard at work b/c I don't get a break at all. I work 14 hour overnight shifts, I am the only one on duty, and I can't leave the house ( I work in a group home for mentally challenged adults) That's the hard part. I'm down about 21 pounds I guess. Somedays the scale says I lost 23 some days just 19 so *****ally knows. I gotta try and do something. Plus since my fill I'm still having problems getting meat down so my only real protein is coming from my shakes and the occasional scrambled egg. *Sigh* I won't give up, I won't give up, I won't give up!  I'll just steal some energy from you guys until I have some of my own!

Hugs

That is a long shift.  How many do you work in a week?  Bless you for taking on that challenge.

I will share some energy with you.  Want to feel bouncy like a happy pomeranian.  Oscar does his share of bouncing up and down.

I like your attitude, we won't give up on you either.  Ready, here comes a boost of energy and a great big  group hug.

ps, I don't think the green smiley will ever get jumpy.

Hugs, Kathy
