Super Depressed
Maybe you need to talk to your doc about an antidepressant for a bit, its not unusual for people to need them post op for a while ... while everything is in an uproar physiacally and hormonally.
Big tight hugs and lots of love to you!

Sukie, wow, it really sucks to be so down. you feel like ur heart is just draining fluid and soon it will dry up and blow away. one day though, you will feel your heart rejuevenating and things will start looking better. maybe not tomorrow or the next day, but someday. i had to have help. i started taking, and still take, antidepressants, and went to a therapist who made me work at getting better. he wouldn't let me just slide by. you know there is this saying about sitting in your own **** because it is warm. translate to not doing anything about the pain because u know it and the known isn't as scarey as the unknown. you are doing good reaching out, that is a big, big start. now talk to your doc and see about getting some help through counseling. if u ever need to talk feel free to call me. trust me, i have been where u are at and thank my lucky stars i am not anymore. i wish you the comfort you need and seek, but remember it is an inside job. also remember, you are doing something positive about your weight. you won't always be a fat chick, you'll just be precious Sukie. love, vick 806 236 2591 (cell)
EXPERIENCE WITHOUT REFLECTION IS HOLLOW
Good morning Sukie. Just sending warm thoughts and lots of love your way to let you know you are not alone and that I love you. I hope you are feeling more positive soon.
Like Vick said, you will be losing that extra weight. You have taken a huge step to take care of that. But ya know what, your are beautiful either way. And I know you are beautiful inside too. You are a lovely person, and Mr. right will come along when you least expect it. But for now, try to focus on you and getting where you want and need to be emotionally and physically. Then you will be ready for Mr. Right.
Hugs and love!

Thanks again everyone,
Sukie
Review your doctors diet for you and make sure you are following it. Also if you are not getting in enough water that will slow it considerably.
One other thing to remember, is that with the Band, loss is slower than with RNY or other more invasive procedures So don't try to measure your progress based on what the ones who had RNY are losing.
If you don't mind me asking, how much are you down now?
Keep your chin up lady... you are gonna do this! It isn't an easy road, but once you get things balanced, its much more managable, and it can take a bit to adjust to all of this.
Hugs!

It's hard at work b/c I don't get a break at all. I work 14 hour overnight shifts, I am the only one on duty, and I can't leave the house ( I work in a group home for mentally challenged adults) That's the hard part. I'm down about 21 pounds I guess. Somedays the scale says I lost 23 some days just 19 so *****ally knows. I gotta try and do something. Plus since my fill I'm still having problems getting meat down so my only real protein is coming from my shakes and the occasional scrambled egg. *Sigh* I won't give up, I won't give up, I won't give up! I'll just steal some energy from you guys until I have some of my own!
Hugs
I will share some energy with you. Want to feel bouncy like a happy pomeranian. Oscar does his share of bouncing up and down.
I like your attitude, we won't give up on you either. Ready, here comes a boost of energy and a great big group hug.
ps, I don't think the green smiley will ever get jumpy.
Hugs, Kathy
