Bariatric Buddy
GOOD MORNING BARIATRIC BUDDIES!!!!!
time to rise and shine, wake up, smell the coffee and the roses. today is a little overcast and it is BEAUTIFUL. hope we get some rain today. have to go to my shrink today. haven't seen him in three weeks because of my surgery and being out of town. he really helps me a lot. for eight years i was in a major clinical depressive episode. he kept changing my meds and worked with me. he never gave up. he has literally saved my live. now he keeps close tabs on me so that i don't start down that road again. 50 percent chance of it happening again, bad odds. so i am faithful about my meds and seeing my shrink.now u know the rest of the story. lol i am going to eat my frozen yogurt concoction (23 grams of protein) and head out the door. they are coming to get the electric lift recliner today. i can't stand it anymore. it is so uncomfortable. i have about 11 days left that i have paid for but i can only take so much. i think i will be ok with my good old recliner. have a wonderful day, my friends. help someone or something else today. it will make u a better person. hugs, vick
EXPERIENCE WITHOUT REFLECTION IS HOLLOW
Good morning Vick! I would have thought they'd make those recliners more comfy! But then there's nothing like your favorite chair, or sleeping in your very own bed. Good luck at your appointment today!
I have been under treatment for depression for several years myself. I am doing pretty well as far as keeping things stable and not doing too much of a nose dive, although sometimes the difficulties with my hubby's condition can bring me down a bit, but I am sure it would have that effect even on one without depression.
Have a wonderful day today. We are going to visit Pauls Mom in the hospital today. She will be having a pacemaker put in at 1pm. then Paul has an appt at 2 pm with his doctor that managed his accident injuries and needs. Then I have 5 other errands to figure out how to squeeze in to this day. Busy busy buisy...
Hugs and love to all!

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
Morning Vick and Patrece. Hope everyone else is having a great day as well.
Bye, bye lift recliner, hello comfy chair. I was so surprised that I was able to get into and out of my bed from day 1 home from the hospital. I made use of the adjustments on the hospital bed to help me move about. Using pillows for support and positioning. Starting to be able to be on my side for a few minutes at a time, not comfy enough to sleep that way yet.
I take antidepressants too, have for a few years ago, life and death difference in my life. Spent a few days in an inpatient mental health unit while my meds were adjusted and therapy started. I was on a much higher dose a few years ago, tapered with supervision to a point that therapist didn't want me to taper anymore. We finished our sessions 3-4 years ago and my primary MD is supervising them now. I can tell with in just a couple of days if I miss some doses. Don't want to go there again. First time I missed a couple days, I thought my blood pressure was bottoming out, felt lightheaded and near passing out. Didn't take much detective work to see my error. But did take a few days to get my levels back up where they belong. I use a med planner now, just to keep track of the meds. They are so important to my existence. I do notice that there are a lot less pills in each box since surgery, Wooohooooo. At the time I started the antidepressants, my doc explained that they were just to help the chemical imbalance that was taking place in my body.
Hugs, Kathy
